You may know Chris Pine from his recurring role as Star Trek's Captain Kirk or perhaps as the bad boy heartthrob from Princess Diaries 2 (I would've risked the throne for him too, Princess Mia). Not only does the actor boast a pretty dynamic film resume, but in the past he's also dabbled in theater and singing (he's got the vocals to back it up, too). No matter what role he's stepping into, though, Pine manages to look undeniably stylish and suave—meaning his career wouldn't quite be complete without starring in a fashion campaign or two. Enter Armani, which selected Pine as the face of its mens fragrance campaign back in 2014. Since then, the actors has starred in campaigns for Armani Code, Code Profumo and the latest, Code Colonia, which just made its debut this February.

HarpersBAZAAR.com caught up with Pine to discuss what scents he finds sexiest on a woman and his upcoming role in Wonder Woman.

It was Mr. Armani himself who thought Pine was a great fit for the fashion house.

"I got a call from my agent saying that Mr. Armani was interested in meeting me for his new cologne and that just began everything. We've been working together for a few years [and] I'd always been a fan of his clothes. He's kind of the beginning of red carpet fashion, in a way, with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere—he sort of began it all. I've always had a taste for the simpler things when it comes to tailoring and suits so I have a great respect for what he does."

We shot the [Colonia] campaign in Los Angeles—which was really fun for me, having been on the road for a year—at Sunset Plaza in this really nice contemporary home with incredible views of LA. It had a really clean, crisp and bright feel to it. The Colonia fragrance is a lot lighter and brighter of a scent compared to Profumo, which you can see in full effect in the commercial."

No, he doesn't have a favorite scent for women.

"I get asked this a lot and I find it kind of odd to answer. It's such a subjective thing and there's no one-size-fits-all for anything, honestly. It can all depend on the time of year, where you are, what you're eating, what you're feeling—it's a very contextual experience. More often than not, I happen to like darker scents on a woman as well. I like those woody, complex base notes even on a woman, but it really all depends."

In addition to starring in Star Trek Beyond and Hell or High Water, Pine recorded a duet with Barbra Streisand for her Duets album last year.

"Truth be told, I didn't record it with her, exactly—I was thousands of miles and many recording booths away from her. But I think it probably behooved me and the project for that to be the case, given how I nervous I was beforehand. It was great fun—I just did my worst Frank Sinatra impression and hoped that sh*t floated and I think I got away with most of it. Now I'd do it again. It was super fun."

Perhaps he'll even give a music career a try...

"I'd love to. I'm sure we would get excoriated and eviscerated by that lovely thing we call the Internet [laughs]. F*ck them anyway. Actually, just to spite them, I will."

He needs a really good reason to return to theater.

"I've always had a love for stage quite a bit in my career. I haven't done it in about five years, but you get kind of lazy, in a way, doing film. There's such an incredible commitment from stage to do those lines again and again, night after night. You have to find something that tickles you in the right way to make you want to do that."

He might just be a tiny bit in love with his Wonder Woman co-star, Gal Gadot.

"Gal is awesome. I had one primary job in this film and that was to fall in love with her—which is not a difficult task. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I have such a soft spot for her. She's an incredible leader on set and worked her ass off in some pretty miserable conditions in a very small outfit in the dead of winter in England and she didn't complain once. I'm sure her Israeli Military training had something to do with that."

But he'd argue that Wonder Woman isn't necessarily the first female-driven superhero movie.

"She's not a superhero, but if you look at Sigourney Weaver in the original Alien series, she's a pretty significant badass. If you see her decimate these alien creatures... She may not wear a cape, but she's pretty f*cking badass. I'd just like to put that out there. That being said, I got involved [with Wonder Woman] because I really fell in love with the director, Patty Jenkins, and her vision for the film before the script was even set. It was this wonderful situation where every day it got better and better and the people involved got more interesting and the script came in and it was really good. I'm really excited for it."
