Those four discs show us the most important part from 1993 and 1994 for Monday Night RAW and it was great to see heel Doink, the Quebecers, Rick Martel, Owen Hart, Bret Hart, 1-2-3 Kid, Jeff Jarrett, Shawn Michaels and many more from those years once again.
I loved the little information between each matches/segments, the fact that this logo can be show without censoring (but WWF is... but not the whole name World Wrestling Federation).
They show most of the entrace and we have full matches, as they were broadcast.
The only little thing that I may have change, is a little less King Courts (they are five in total, just 2 or 3 will have been okay and they could have show us something else instead).
Still, this set is GREAT and I can't wait for the 1995-1996 boxset (hope it will happen)
- Classic WWF wrestling! Nothing beats that!
- We get to remember how RAW changed the wrestling industry by often being live with new cutting-edge storylines at the time.
- A LOT of good matches that are given time to elaborate (unlike matches today).
- Cool facts before each segment, which gives us a little more information on one of the wrestlers in the match or the storyline (ex: Macho Man was part of the St. Louis Cardinals as a catcher before becoming a wrestler).
The Bad:
- Too many Doink the clown matches (approx. 10 matches of Matt Osbourne is way too much, he had great charisma that made the character work, but his in-ring skills are far from being great)
- 4 King's Court segments in a row on disc 3 (are you kidding me? How much of Jerry Lawler do we need?)
- No Steiner Brothers match! But we get a segment where the Quebecers accept to have a one on one match against one of the Steiners the following week for the opportunity to get a title shot. Why put this segment here if we don't see the match? Pointless.
Final verdict: 4/5
A couple of small details takes this from being a perfect DVD! But it is still an awesome DVD and a must have for ANY wrestling fans!
