A day earlier, the Bachchan family performed the Holika Dahan ritual together at their family property in Mumbai. Pictures from the ritual were shared on Instagram by Navya Naveli Nanda. These images showed the Bachchans standing next to a large bonfire, with Aishwarya, Abhishek, and Shweta Bachchan. Later in the day, Navya also shared pictures from the Bachchan family Holi celebration, which also took place on the grounds of their Mumbai home. These photos included Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan more prominently, although Aishwarya, Aaradhya and Agastya Nanda were missing. “Rang barse,” Navya wrote in the caption of the post.

As always, the comments section of these posts alluded to the never-ending rumours of discord among the members of the Bachchan family. But the family choosing to celebrate the festival of Holi together — Aishwarya posing with Abhishek, and Jaya posing with Amitabh — comes across as a show of strength.
