Brookwood School Reviews
Rating 3.69 out of 5 26 reviews
The main reason the school preps students for college is that the teachers do not teach. It is incumbent upon the individual student to learn the material, much like a university setting. The teachers at Brookwood are hardly qualified. They have few Phds on staff. The athletic program is a joke. Do not allow your child to be sucked in by some scholarship and promise of an education. The school is a segregation school and is now desperately seeking diversity. The experience is not worth the price tag. Send your kids somewhere else.
In my expirience with brookwood school I have not had a lot of opportunities for acedemic growth. There are very little opportunties for honors courses, and AP courses. The arts are also severely underfunded which for students involved in the arts is not fair. Popularity is also a big deal here for students and parents a like.
Brookwood's mission statement is to develop the whole child, academically, physically, and spiritually. I feel that this is the experience I have gotten out of Brookwood, and I would not change a thing about my experience. I have participated in 3 varsity sports, winning a state championship in 2020 with the girls basketball team. I have been apart of many clubs, including FCA, which has helped me strengthen my relationship with Christ, as well as create lasting friendships. Brookwood is a college preparatory school, and the academics here have prepared me for college. I have loved my experience and would not change a thing!
