Sarah Mirk Bitch Media It's mainstream entertainment, but it succeeds at being riveting and deeply unsettling mainstream entertainment that casts a critical light on our current systems. Jan 20, 2021 Full Review Jason Bailey Flavorwire Vivid, visceral filmmaking, twisty and entertaining, with startlingly good turns by Jennifer Lawrence and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Jun 18, 2016 Full Review Alissa Wilkinson Christianity Today The movies (gratefully) violently counteract any attempt we might make to see them as fun escapism. Rated: 3.5/4 Apr 13, 2016 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand ... the second film in the young adult dystopian series... improves upon the original 'The Hunger Games' in almost every way. Apr 8, 2023 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies It not only adds to the groundwork laid by its predecessor, but it improves on it in nearly every area. Rated: 4.5/5 Aug 21, 2022 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review A powerful indictment of entertainment as propaganda, the film considers political, social, and emotional factors that transcend the limitations of a young adult novel and will, like its hero, hopefully, go on to represent something much more significant. Maria R Great movie, I loved everything about it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/24 Full Review Audience Member Really good. Not as good as the first movie though Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/14/24 Full Review Patrick F I never read the Hunger Games novels by Suzanne Collins. I did see the film adaptations however. The first installment of the franchise was a rock solid movie. It was anchored by strong performances from its stars. The film had good pacing and never let up or got boring. From start to finish the film did a good job of keeping me both engaged and feeling tense. While some of the films special effects haven't held up over the years, the true power of the film is the relationship of the main characters in the context of this authoritarian dystopian science fiction-esque story. This installment is by far the best in the movie franchise. Even if you don't like the sequels you can always watch this one stand alone and enjoy it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/13/24 Full Review Carter C It uses the same elements as the first film, carrying the action, adventure, good characters, and amazing CGI with it, but it also carried the same pacing and story that annoyed me in the first place. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review Carlos T Filme: Jogos Vorazes – Em Chamas @jogos_vorazes_official @jogos_vorazes #jogosvorazes Assistido: 4-5-24 Elenco: @1jnnf @jhutch1992 @liamhemsworth @elizabethbanks @woodyharrelson @Willowshields @stanleytucci @lennykravitz @mrsamclaflin @jenamalone Philip Hoffman, Donald Sutherland, @jfreewright Modelo: #aventura #ação #ficção Duração: 2h 26m Ano: 2013 Minha opinião: Uma trilogia em 4 filmes, pois o 3º é em duas partes. 1º Jogos Vorazes (2012), Em Chamas (2013), A Esperança parte 1 (2014), A Esperança parte 2 (2015). Vale apena assistir? sim Nota: 8,5 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/06/24 Full Review Audience Member Great movie it was amazing my only problem is that my favorite character, cinna, died. But other than that it was an amazing movie Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/29/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
