Simon's life in television began in 1981 as a BBC Floor Assistant, moving his way up the production ladder as an A.F.M., Production Manager and finally Director in Light Entertainment contributing for over 14 years to a variety of music and comedy shows. In 1995, his freelance career kicked-off and he segued into kids TV when he began producing and directing international specials for The Walt Disney Company. His work in the development of key preschool programming includes successfully revitalizing and regenerating the classic Thomas & Friends for PBS in the US alongside its' major UK re-launch; through to show-running and producing the highly acclaimed multi-media Cbeebies series Waybuloo. His international preschool experience has involved developing, scripting and post producing a wide variety of programs encompassing live action, puppetry, animated robotics and animation. Simon has received three BAFTA nominations.
