Cuore dell'omonimo quartiere è una delle più belle piazze londinesi, anche se non la mia preferita. Tutta circondata da belle residenze in stile neoclassico, molte delle quali oggi sono ambasciate. Il giardino al centro è riservato solo ai residenti, come da abitudine cittadina. Qualche anno fa ho abitato in questa piazza, ospite del nostro istituto di cultura che qui ha la sua bella sede. Se si visita Belgravia impossibile mancarla.

Neat ,clean and quiet place to visit. The gardens are not always available to the public except maybe for special days.
Lots of old architecture to admire if you are into that sort of thing. Heritage site well maintained.
Majority of traffic i would imagine is people visiting various embassies for visas/passports etc.
There are a few restaurants and a Waitrose very nearby.

This is a very opulent part of Knightsbridge. The area is full of foreign embassies surrounding the square. Some very grand architecture.

Belgrave Square gardens occupy the whole of the middle of the square taking up some 4.5 acres, which, along with its surrounding buildings, was designed by George Basevi although later planted by Thomas Cubitt in 1830. Other than on occasional Heritage Open Days it is closed to the public and is for the exclusive use of Belgrave Square residents. It is surrounded by railings with four gates one of which had today been left open. Unless one is able to remove plane trees or two tennis courts there is nothing here capable of being stolen. Its most memorable gestures are perhaps the statues of famous explorers around its outside edge and thus available for view by members of the public as well as the Belgravia elite or intruders from the inside.

Really nice square in Belgravia. Not actually Open to the public but for local residents. Very well maintained.

Belgrave Square is one of the grandest districts of London. From the beginning of it's construction until the Second World War the square was occupied by the British aristocracy, but nowadays an increasing number of people wealthy. So I'm totally not jealous!
The garden however is a private garden, not open to the general, lower classes. In and around the square is some nice statues of Prince Henry the Navigator, Christopher Columbus, Simón Bolívar and José de San Martín. Around the square is a great many Embassies, especially rich ones who require an expensive address.

Este parque se encuentra muy cerca del Palacio de Buckingham. Al igual que otros
parques de Londres, es privado y de acceso exclusivo para los residentes de la zona. Desde fuera, sin embargo, es posible divisar la preciosa disposición de la arboleda y sus parterres. En su interior, hay tres monumentos destacables: el de Cristóbal Colón, un homenaje a Leonardo Da Vinci bajo la forma de una representación escultórica del Hombre de Vitrubio y la estatua de Sir Robert Grosvenor, primer Marqués de Westminster.
Recuérdese que no es posible una visita improvisada. Hay que contentarse con verlo desde fuera. Aún así, merece la pena un vistazo si se pasa por allí.

Belgrave Square is one of the the most beautiful and orderly squares in Central London.
Traditionally, a place for the fabulously wealthy to live and it now houses a number of embassies. Well worth walking around the square to get a sense of how the 19th and 20th century rich lived in London. Very close to Buckingham Palace.

One day while enjoying our most recent stay in London, we were making our way on foot from Knightsbridge to Victoria. In the process, we found ourselves passing through Belgrave Square This square is home to a fenced, private garden which can only be accessed by residents of Belgrave square.
Hence, we just had to make do with scant views of the garden over the fence as we walked around the square.
As this garden is private, we would certainly advise against going out of your way in the hope of seeing it!

The private garden in the middle of the square with posh townhouses all around. We wandered in after a resident but then could not get out because of the locked gates.
