Is visions of coleus canon?

Anime

I just saw this recommended on the website where I've been watching the currently airing season (s3 I think?) And I was just wondering if it's canon. And if so when should I watch it/Where does it fit in the timeline?

It is canon, but it’s basically just “filler.” It takes place between seasons 1 and 2, during Rimuru’s time as a teacher.

It's completely canon yes. Same with the Rimuru-sensei OAD. Both happen during his time as a teacher.

The movie is also canon, and takes place shortly after Walpurgis.

you can probably enjoy it if you only watch the anime, maybe when reading the manga, just don't be surprised when they (all OVAs, spin of series, Movie) get contradicted later on as the light novel the source material for manga and Anime is not written with those stories in mind even if they are from the same author, its just that they mostly add triva Information with more or less no impact on the main story so they don't get flat out contradicted if that makes them canon is up to you I guess...it is nowhere specifically and officially stated as far as I know

PS: the movie is already contradicted by the first few eps of season3 as it should have happened exactly there and yet Hiro or the kingdom of Raja are not mentioned at all
