Diablo Valley College Reviews
Rating 3.8 out of 5 1,197 reviews
It’s been great so far, almost all of my professors were/are passionate and genuinely caring of their students. I’ve had a few bad experiences with some professors but the good experiences with the better professors heavily outweighed the bad ones. Counselors are extremely helpful and have so many resources to give to students, all you need to do is ask and follow through. The students here are also nice and open minded, thanks to someone I met at dvc we are now incredibly close friends. Though I do wish there was more student activity within clubs or student organizations.
I absolutely adore Diablo Valley College! Though the pandemic was hard on my GPA(I began my education at DVC in the Fall of 2020), I've never found anything but kindness and compassion from students and faculty alike. They boast extensive outreach programs aimed towards helping students of all backgrounds and situations, and I can confirm that they do a fantastic job at aiding their students. Overall, I wouldn't trade my time at DVC for anything.
This is a school that many people attend to leave as soon as possible. There is not a whole ton of connection between students. Since it is a transfer school, it is hard to make friends. More events should happen that are free. Athletics should be funded even more. Overall, I had a mix experience with professors. Some of them were amazing, some were okay, and some were awful. It is hit or miss.
