Great teachers and guidance counselors who are very involved in the students academic and social life.
For a public school, it is not bad. The school doesn't look the best but in terms of honors classes, it's really not that bad. Teachers tend to be very involved. I think that the school is lacking in spirit though. Also, the music and arts department should be given more attention than they currently have.
The best parts of being at Medford High School are the sport available because my whole life I have wanted to play volleyball. Being a boy playing volleyball at a high school is challenging because they don't always have the opportunity to have a boys team but they did junior year. Ever since I have started to play volleyball, I have mad amazing friends and memories connected with the high school. The worst parts of this high school is the violence because they are always school fights, there was a stabbing last year, and the bullying can get out of hand at times. Changes I would like to see is the school environment because the bulling can get really out of hand.
Medford High School has an excellent community of students and teachers. However, our school building itself is crumbling to pieces. The bathrooms are in horrendous condition, and many floor/ceiling tiles are falling off. Medford High School needs to be rebuilt.
My experience at Medford High School has been filled with many different emotions. I love my teachers and friends, but it is hard to go somewhere that there are no safety protocols or any discipline. Throughout my experience here I have witnessed many fights and a stabbing. The children received no consequence for their actions. There are days where I am scared for my brother and I's safety coming here but if it wasn't for my amazing teachers and counselors who motivated me I would not like to attend here. Throughout my four years here I gave gained so much knowledge and experience through my education but I am ready to move on to better things away from this school.
Medford High School is a very diverse school provided with countless opportunities of education provided. Some of the best parts of Medford High School is the people and teachers you will meet, as well as the memories made. Some of the worst parts are the school lunch, appearance, and bathrooms. I would like to see change in how students treat the school and each other.
The school has many pros and cons. The school has kids who are incredible to be around as well as kids who've made it on the news for violence. A diverse set of people! We have a lot of clubs as well as classes so you have the opportunity to take whatever you want (as long as there is a teacher to teach the class). Most of my classes have well over 20 kids, so sometimes it's hard to get 1 on 1 help from teachers.
The building itself is very old and some of the classrooms (exclusively in the voch) don't even have ceilings. The floors are old, there's mold in the vents and the food is disgusting.

I am an upcoming junior, overall my experience is great at Medford High. Teachers are nice and presentable, currently low staff but what school isn't. Food not so great but it's american school anyway. What i would love to see changes at the Medford highschool is external and interall presenation. The look of the school is awful, students detoriate everything, they just don't care... Curriculum is okay.
Medford High School provides students with beneficial opportunities during high school and beyond. Despite its shortcoming, Medford Public Schools cares about its students and staff.
Some teachers are unfair and some are racist. The physical condition of the school itself is very poor.
The education and its teacher are all fun-loving people. The building and overall hygiene of the school need some work :(
Looking back, there were many good memories that I have of the building. However, from the facilities to the extracurriculars, there were things that I found to be lacking.
While the building isn't great, I had a lot of good teachers and was able to make valuable connections with friends and peers through clubs and activities!
I believe on average Medford High is a good school. It's relatively progressive, the teachers care about the content they teach, it has the most AP class opportunities in the area, and overall a positive environment. But I would be remiss to not mention the glaring systemic discriminatory issues, the lack of building maintenance, and the lack of follow-through on larger progressive changes. Medford High is by no means the perfect school and there is much I would change about it, but it's nonetheless still a great school to go to.
The building is kind of ugly because it was built in the 1970s but there is a lot of improvements going on inside. Students are always painting new murals on the walls to lighten up the space, and the science building was recently renovated.
Decent school. The school building is in poor shape. The staff is hard working and pretty good. Sports are not good. Very diverse but lacks any form of culture.
Medford High School is a school that like to celebrate other cultures through the foreign language department. Also, most of my teachers are very enthusiastic about teaching and wanted to see me and my classmates succeed. All of the students regardless of the school's shortcomings such as our average sports teams show tremendous school pride in every aspect of the school. And when any of our sports teams show success and make the playoff, those teams always has the back of the whole school rooting for further success. But the building is really old and hopefully, Medford can increase the budget to renovate the school and bring more shops at our vocational school. They could also improve their WiFi so students can always have convenient and quick access to the internet.
