As the school year ends this week, we celebrate our students’ growth and progress. Have a wonderful summer, and see you on August 19, 2024 for the start of the new school year.
The PUSD Board of Education unanimously approved two measures for the November 5, 2024, election: a $900 million school facilities bond and a $90 annual parcel tax. If approved, the school facilities bond will continue to upgrade PUSD’s historic campuses; the parcel tax would generate $5 million per year, which would be used to provide services to the district’s students and retain teachers and other employees.
It’s hard to believe that the school year ends soon! It’s the season of celebration at PUSD as seniors get ready for graduation, our community honors students, teachers, and staff.

Seven John Muir High School Early College Magnet seniors were recognized for earning high school diplomas and associate degrees through the Dual Enrollment program of the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) and Pasadena City College (PCC).
OEB Magnet has received the Merit School of Excellence Award and has been named a Nationally Certified Demonstration School by Magnet Schools of America, one of only 33 in the country and the only California school selected this year. PUSD is now home to two of only three demonstration magnets in California.
