- FamilyTravelClayton, NC22 contributionsDeep River is a great place to hang out and enjoy great beer. The staff is so kind, and always willing to make a suggestion based on what you enjoy. Food trucks are available mostly every day they are open, so always something to munch too!Written December 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NeverGivenANameClayton, NC1 contributionI met a friend at Clayton Community Park and this was my experience.
The park itself is broken into numerous sections. There's a designated section for younger children which is great. The background noise from the tennis courts and baseball field gives you that wholesome American feeling.
Around the exterior of the playground equipment, there's a walking trail. It's decently sized and wide enough to easily keep 6ft distance from other people.
Overall, the park was great. The only downside (literally) is that there is a decently sized cliff near the trail. At first, this was an enjoyable site to see. That quickly changed when an infant baby child from a nearby house wandered a wee bit too close. As the baby-child approached the cliff, my friend and I looked at each other with concern, shrugged our shoulders, and swiftly carried on. Nothing could be done for the baby... Or so we thought.
Luckily at the last moment, the baby's mother had finished her social media post and noticed that the child had wandered too close to the cliff. Alas the baby was saved, though no one cheered.Written March 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I am from a big city (Pittsburgh) and just love the small town things. Can’t wait till the summer to go again.Written March 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- mcnairp1Raleigh15 contributionsOur wedding was held at Falcons Hamlet in Clayton North Carolina. Set within a gated 150 acres of vast woodland and rolling hills, this elegant French inspired mansion overlooks the banks of the Neuse River. My wife and I were amazed with the level of service, the workmanship of the grounds and the friendly staff. Every moment of our special day was something to remember!Written October 9, 2009This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peggy WBenson, NC3 contributionsArtmosphere is probably my absolute favorite discovery since we moved back to North Carolina. I am part of the WAGS group that meets on Friday mornings. The artists I have met there are my friends now. We all support one another's art endeavors. It is such fun. Artmosphere offers art classes for young and old, as well as music, yoga, and master gardening. It is a great venue for weddings and other events. The building is beautiful, and the art of many artists is displayed there. It is a wonderful art resource for the local community.Written December 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kristen CWest Palm Beach, FL46 contributionsWe loved Bungalow Bounce. We brought 4 kids here all under the age of 4. There was something for everyone even the 1 year old. Place was clean, staff were friendly and prices were family friendly. Can’t wait to go back next time we are in town. I also loved that the kids were contained in one area and you could easily watch them.Written April 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Patricia A1 contributionBeautiful area, but I recommend better markers on the trails for distance to exit and a sign at the exit itself. I got frustrated going around in circles.Written July 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- cheryl hDurham, NC57,860 contributionsWe stopped by for a quick round of golf Saturday afternoon. As I've seen before, they try to get as many people out on the course as possible so tee times are flexible. Usually folks line up and go when it's clear. This is what we did, only about 10 minutes ahead of time so no problem. So you need to get there early if you want to use their nice practice facilities, including a large practice green, a practice bunker/chipping area, and a large range (less than 240 yard clubs please - no problem) with railroad tracks behind it.
The layout is nice with a lot of variety in holes and was in good shape. The greens were not as fast as usual, which was a good thing so you weren't dead if you were above the hole (which I usually am). The 19th hole is nice with a big screen TV for watching golf or football. They have a simple food menu of standard fare and wide selection of beersWritten August 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
