A beautiful and contemporary retelling of Colin Thiele’s classic Australian tale. “Storm Boy” has grown up to be Michael Kingley, a successful retired businessman and grandfather. When Kingley starts to see images from his past that he can’t explain, he is forced to remember his long-forgotten childhood, growing up on an isolated coastline with his father. He recounts to his grand-daughter the story of how, as a boy, he rescued and raised an extraordinary orphaned pelican, Mr Percival. Their remarkable adventures and very special bond has a profound effect on all their lives. Based on the beloved book, Storm Boy is a timeless story of an unusual and unconditional friendship.

Park City Film is partnering with Basin Recreation and Prospector Square Property Owners Association to present our fourth annual drive-in movie experience in Lot K in Prospector Square (1920 Prospector Ave). Come re-live your childhood with your friends and family with this classic American summer pastime! Ticket proceeds will benefit Basin Recreation’s Youth Scholarship program.

Lot K will open at 7pm – with Live music from Snyderville Station. The film will start at dusk ~8:45pm. Spaces for cars are limited to 35 and front row car tickets are available for a premium (height restrictions apply). Tickets for walk-ups/bike-ups are also available – patrons can bring blankets and low back chairs for seating on a grassy area in front of the screen (no dogs please). No passes will be accepted for this special screening.

*In the event of high winds or rain, the film will be shown in the Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave (check web site and Facebook page the night of the screening for weather updates).
