Courthouse Visits

Getting a closer look at the inner workings of our judicial system has never been easier. The Eleventh Judicial Circuit offers a Courthouse Visit Program for school-aged children (Grades 3-12) and college students, adults and visiting dignitaries from foreign countries. Participants get an overview of the State Courts System and how the Eleventh Judicial Circuit – the largest in Florida – serves the Miami-Dade County community.

School aged visitors may be part of a mock trial (space permitting), a Q&A session with one of our judges (court schedule permitting), and a visit to one of our courtrooms to observe a live court proceeding. Please note: adult chaperones are required to accompany visiting students. More details in the forms downloadable at Request a Visit.

Visiting adult groups can arrange an in-depth view of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit via the cooperation and collaboration of our Judges, Court Administration, the Clerk of Courts, and other Justice Partners.

In addition, individual adult visitors are always welcome to visit the public areas of the court, including the audience area of a courtroom to observe a trial, without the need to contact our office.
