Flights from Seoul to Fukuouka

We'll be flying from Seoul to Fukuouka and the nonstop airlines available are T'Way Air, Jeju and Jin Air. If anyone has an opinion on any of these companies, please let me know. It's a short flight, but we do value reliability, safety and timeliness. A good luggage allowance is a bonus, as we will be having midsize luggage. Thank you!

I fly Jeju Air several times for FUK - ICN and FUK - BUS. As I observe tourists reports and friends opinion, there's no large difference for reliability, safety, and timeliness as far as I see. They are strict on luggage number and weight including carry ins.

What about Korean Air and Asiana?

I would consider those as well, but the ones I mentioned are about 1/2 the price. It's only a 1.5 hour flight, but the luggage surcharges may end up making the costs about equal to Korean Air and Asiana.

When one can fly KE or OZ for long haul, flight expense may be saved by transit or stopover in ICN.

Not sure where OP's final destination is. There are other cities in Japan with non stop flight to ICN. Besides, there're other cities in South Korea, Busan and Daegu, for example, to have flight and maritime transportation to Japan.

We were considering going from Seoul to Busan and then taking the ferry to Fukuouka, but I get horribly seasick. Also, we'd rather spend more days exploring the Kyuushu area. We'd rent a car in Fukuouka to visit Mt. Aso, Takachiho, Kurokawa, Yufuin and return it at Fukuouka. Then we would take a Shinkansen to Tokyo for a few days before returning home. We're a little nervous about driving in Japan, since we are from the US and drive on the opposite side of the road. But it seems that people adjust to it pretty quickly, from what I read on the forum.

Hakata - Busan is nearly inner sea route. Hydro foil ride is like expressway bus ride at least when it's in good weather. I haven't seen anyone in sea sickness on board. It depends on your experience.

Majority of international tourist drivers are from South Korea and Taiwan in Kyushu. Their road traffic rule is similar to US. This also depends on your experience and skill.
