This movie tries so desperate to be like the first 3 but fails completely.. The CGI, the humor, the action sequences.. everything got worse.. they even messed up the time jumps.. or Jack and his crew are immortal and can't age smh.. Salazar as well as Blackbeard both are not written well or threatening at all.. The new actors and protagonists are not as lovely and interesting as the original cast.. The Story has many plotholes..

It's on the same level as the fourth one: a decent script and good characters (although Jack seems a bit weird). The CGI is mostly good, but in some places it's just... awful (like in the flashback scene, where Jack was a young boy). The villain is definitely a step up from the last movie. He has a more compelling reason for why he acts, the way he does. The movie does have some great moments, but not as many as before.
