Hi

I have a problem with logging in to Yahoo mail, I have it also on my phone and so far it is working but I can't get access to it from my laptop or any other places. I can not find the password stored in my Google as it was, I have mostly used it from my phone, I added a recoevery mail long time ago, but when I give that email account it doesn't send me anything.

I can't even find the pw on my phone, I was wondering if you knew a way I can get access to it again (not the paid option). It is not my primary email account but it is good to have it as it is used by some friends.

Does the info in those links help you find your passwords on your phone?

Thanks for the reply buddy,

I have already seen that part, and Yahoo is not stored in Google pw parts, neither through my laptop or phone account settings, other pw are there.

It has somehow vanished

But what it is strange that the recovery mail is not sent, even Yahoo shows some part of it

@myym:

We here at BC have no way to verify that the account you're trying to access really is yours.

And if the 2FA & recovery procedures you set up are not working, then accessing the account may be challenging.
These security measures are in place for the safety of you & other members.

Perhaps contact Yahoo support?

Yes Moxie, I know it is a matter of safety but I have been dealing with this for some months now and didn't find any solutions, but I am sure many have experienced this too. I didn't ask anyone to access my account, but rather your experiences on how you previously dealt with such issue.

Why not use the phone app to change your password?

Hi, the Phone App only links to a Yahoo Mail account as to .com, .ca, .net. etc.  You would need to use a Computer to access Yahoo and send a request to what you have on file.

fyi it is wise to set up several account recover options to your phone # (not the app) and to several on-line email accounts.

So the above is how to go about recovery from a laptop/desktop.  Good luck on your recovery.
