These are straight from the Source Code, I looked it up today.
A few of these don't do anything interesting, or even anything visible. I have indicated those which don't do anything visually.
F3 + S - "Force Reload" - Visually, does little (lags, flickers)
F3 + T - Refresh Textures - Visually, does little (lags, flickers)
Shift + F3 + F - Increase Render Distance
F3 + F - Decrease Render Distance
F3 + A - "Load Renderers" - (essentially reloads all visual elements)
F3 + H - Advanced Item Tooltips (Basically shows Item IDs)
F3 + B - Show hitboxes - (As shown on here, will also highlight invisible players)
F3 + P - Don't Pause game when Minecraft is not active window
Common keys:
F1 - Hide GUI - (Will also hide vignette darkening effect in dark areas, can be useful at night)
F3 - Debug Info
Shift+F3 - Display Full Debug Info, including Pie-Chart break down of memory usage
F5 - Third Person (On second press, Third-Person facing backwards)
F8 - Smooth, Preserved-Momentum Camera
In Shift+F3 (With the Pie Chart) you can press the corresponding numbers to show a break down of that section i.e "[1] gameRenderer"
0 Goes up a level

This is actually really funny to tell your friends to do on a server. Everyone knows not to press alt+f4 but no one knows about f3+c yet.

I have a screenshot of someone falling for alt+f4 last week (couldn't stop laughing)
My friends and I always do survival games servers, I love seeing "Derpherp (not his actual ign) has left the game" "Herpderp has left the game" after telling them it's a chest finder.
If they are stupid enough, you can tell them that something was wrong with their minecraft and it normally works fine. You can't do that with alt+f4
Also on my server, typing stuff like /give /op /gamemode /ban while not an op kills you and removes all your stuff. So making them look like idiots isn't hard :P
What about /kill?

I'd say it re-adds the tags over mobs and players heads so you can see them through walls.

Huh. For me, fullscreen gets 200-300fps, while windowed gets 120-250fps.

Same here, I'll tone everything down in OptiFine trying to get like 50 fps and get 10. And when everything is in awesome mode, I get 30.......
The size of your window does not affect network latency.
It's like increasing the YouTube resolution to 720p from its normal 360p, it creates more lag essentially. A lot of people actually play on miniature minecraft screens and get higher FPS.
Lag has nothing to do to FPS.
Changing from 360 to 720, all it does is downloads a higher resolution stream.
Lag refers to networking, not graphics processing...
'Lag' is an English word meaning to fall behind, lose ground, not keep up, lack of speed.
It's also a technical term applied to latency between server and client because of its normal meaning.
There is no reason someone can't say they are experiencing lag when their framerate drops. It fell behind.

yes, just like the ALT button does.
Doesn't 'do little' at all, you just don't know what it's for. It reloads the texture pack from file and is for texture pack makers. It allows them to see changes they've just made without quitting to menu and reloading the world.

Oh it is, I just learned this too. I was right when my computer would have a strange wireless adapter/sound problem and i though it was another effect from that
Happened once to me. I was pretty sure it wasn't a bug, and that I had just accidentally found some horribly useless feature. Luckily restarting Minecraft worked for me.

I noticed this a while ago. If anyone is wondering what it means, MC darkens the borders of the screen if you're in a low light level. Pressing F1 turns that off.
Also hides pumpkin mask outline.

Excuse me haters, I did go into the source and pull these out. Notice my list is different to Turbos? I only saw the key entries in the main file, and missed a few extra combinations, for example, ones that take a second to activate. I didn't actually see Turbos post as it was in a comment thread... What would you like me to do?

The advanced item tooltips from F3+H also shows damage values on the applicable items. Really helpful when checking how dead your tools are.
Would you kindly explain what F3+S is doing?
It stops all sounds, reloads the sound engine and all resources.

It's pretty handy, there was a time where my sound would stop working and F3+S always fixed it, doesn't happen anymore though.
F3+T is extremely useful for texture pack artists. I use that shortcut hundreds of times a week.
@TP artists: Be sure to make your pack folder-based when using the F3+T shortcut. Then you can save directly to your TP as the game is running.
It may be worth noting that F3 + H will also just current and max durability of tools and weapons, unless they are at full durability
Using F3+P, and then afterwards W+F10, you can have player keep walking forwards while you do something else.
