This place is top notch both with food and service! Consistently impressed with the quality of the food and tonight was no exception. We had 2 classic meals - chicken parm ($25) and the Monday Meatball price fixe menu (salad, spaghetti and meatballs plus cannoli for $30). The pickles beet salad with pistachio was delicious. We added in an appetizer of Brussels sprout leaves tossed in a honey mustard before being baked or fried at the recommendation of our outstanding server Taylor. He also suggested the vanilla bourbon affogato for dessert. Again, delicious.
All the way around 5 stars!

The veal scallopini is back on the menu and it was so delicious. It was the best I have ever eaten. The portion was large, the linqini was perfect, but the sauce was amazing. My wife had the linguini and clams and she liked that the clams were mostly out of the shells and in the linguini. My buddy, who usually finds something to complain about was pleased with his veal parm. As always, the Caesar was great and the drinks were perfect. I can't wait to go back and hope the veal scallopini is still on the menu.

Fantastic dining experience! Soft bread served with a sundried tomato dipping oil followed by entrees of chicken Parmesan served on a mountain of delicious pasta and a hearty lasagna served in a cast iron casserole dish. And do not pass up the chocolate espresso or vanilla bourbon gelato made in-house. There are so many wonderful items in the menu that we cannot wait to go back. Nice warm environment and outstanding service from the moment we walked in the front door.

We started with a perfectly cooked calamari appetizer and very good bottle of northern region Italian wine. The bread was served with an amazing sun dried tomato and olive oil combination. Everyone had a caesar salad with very fresh anchovies with true tasting Caesar dressing.Everyone had different main courses fantastic sauces and al dente pasta with amazing flavors. Dessert was tiramisu that you could taste all the ingredients with a delicate hint of each flavor.This was my first experience at the restaurant and from start to finish a total wonderful surprise.

A large group of us dined here on a Friday night. Overall it was a good experience but there were a few hiccups in the service and food quality that make me unable to recommend it.
One, there was a serious mixup when my wife asked whether a dish had a specific ingredient (it was not listed on the menu) and she stated that she was allergic to it. The waiter stated that he didn’t think so but would let the kitchen know. When the dish came out, said ingredient was all throughout the sauce. The waiter was apologetic and took responsibility, but if she hadn’t noticed it it would not have been a good night. (They did prepare another dish for her without the ingredients.)
Food quality: Some of our items were very good: a friend really liked the lasagna, and the calamari was very good. I had the smoked chicken ravioli and was disappointed in both the flavor (a bit on the bland side with little to know smokiness), and a very small portion. The pizza crust of the fig and prosciutto pizza was dry and flavorless (cracker-like) although the toppings were excellent. The antipasto was forgettable.
Overall the food quality varied significantly , especially portion sizes, and the mixup either the allergen is really unforgivable.

Found this little spot on Trip Advisor when looking for a dinner location on our stop through Columbus on the way to Cape Cod/Boston. We chose it because it had 930+ Reviews with an average rating of 4-1/2. What a great find from the cocktails to the caesar salad with the bell pepper relish & parmesan crisps it was all so good. I had the gnocchi and my husband had the lasagna. We had the tiramisu and two gelatos (chocolate-espresso & vanilla-bourbon) for dessert. Everything was really delicious and our server Taylor was excellent & very knowledgeable about all the items on the menu and made great recommendations. I highly recommend Z Cucina. You won’t be sorry! We will absolutely come back on our next trip through Columbus!

There is Italian food and then there is Italian food… this is the latter. Remarkable eating experience. Was in town for a concert and decided to go big(since we were not going home) and try this restaurant. Rick, the owner seated us pleasantly and then Taylor brought us menus. He also brought us some bread and a sun dried tomato, olive oil, garlic, honey sauce for dipping. Hallelujah! Or rather in Italian Momma Mia! Never had just bontà . The food was crazy good and surprisingly different and tasty. I lived in Italt fir 2 years and thus is the best. 5 stars for everything here.

We enjoyed an appetizer then dinner! Both were absolutely delicious! The lasagna might the best we have ever had!! The portions were large, thus we got to take home the leftovers and enjoy again the next day! The staff was great too! I’d recommend to anyone that wants to enjoy real, Italian cuisine!

Great food! Great service! Great ambience! This was my first time going to Z Cucina Columbus but I had heard great things about it. It has a wonderful ambience and atmosphere. Food was delicious! We went there to celebrate a birthday, so we tried a lot of different things on the menu, including the caprese salad, beet salad and fig flatbread for starters. Literally EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! We could have eaten their bread with their sun dried tomato olive oil dip forever! We actually all took that bread and oil dip home. For main courses, we had the orecchiette pasta and the ravioli and they were also delicious! I orders two MORE pastas to go because I knew my family would love it! You would think we were full but we HAD to save room for dessert. I got the tiramisu and felt like I had gone to heaven. So clearly made from scratch and made with love. Every course was amazing! The highlight of the evening was the hospitality, from our amazing server RÃan who made us feel like the only customers in the world, to the owner, Rick Z himself, who happened to be at this location and hit his Dublin location that evening. He chatted with all of the customers and made sure we felt at home. He took time to hear our thoughts on everything we ordered- and we ordered a lot :)! The combination of winning food and winning high touch service makes this a MUST GO! I can’t wait to go back and to take more friends, coworkers and family! Already planning an event there. Make sure to stop by for a lovely evening out.

Our family had high hopes for this restaurant as it is rated so highly on TripAdvisor. As an appetizer we ordered the homemade meatballs. Upon eating them, we were shocked out how spicy the meatballs were. There was no description on the menu to the effect and coming from New Jersey and New York this is not something that is common. My wife and daughter ordered chicken parmigiana, and my other daughter ordered the gnocchi. Upon them eating the red sauce that came with their meal, they all complained how hot and spicy the food was. Again, this detail was not mentioned on the menu. Not one of them finished their meal which is a shame as the cost is certainly not cheap. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this establishment.
