Brian Eno – Nerve Net

Is it me or does the first track sound a bit muddy on this repress?

Warped with off centered labels. Still sounds good though. Good album

One of the best albums in which Eno's synthesis between sound and (pop oriented) music reaches its peak in my opinion; a 90's "My life in the bush of the ghosts" so to speak.
Having already the 33 version I did not miss this new edition on double vinyl.
Excellent quality and very silent vinyl adds even more "air" to the recording which, on a sound level, is truly satisfying even without very high quality systems. The quality of the sound treatment operated by Eno in this album reaches very high levels, again in my humble opinion.
Anyone wishing to learn more about "Nerve Net" can look for "My Squelchy Life", a double album from which Nerve Net was "extracted" and never officially released until RSD 2015. A must have for Brian Eno lovers.

I have always loved this album, my first ever Eno album. Such a strange brew of styles it is but maybe just from nostalgia I really love it. It's always been such a crappy sounding album but maybe that was part of the charm? This is better sounding a bit warmer and fuller and the vinyl pressing is nice a quiet. Beautiful gatefold artwork and all kind of cool info on the inner sleeves. Get it.

This release has not been remastered. Tracks 1-10 for example are exactly the same mastering as has always been available. This is typical of Eno's reissues.

The December 2014 remaster includes no bonus material on the Nerve Net disc, but does include a bonus disc with the original and legendary lost My Squelchy Life album, who supposedly was to be released in September 1991, but as the release was postponed to February 1992, Eno decided to re-edit the album into Nerve Net instead. Includes contributions by Robert Fripp, Robert Quine and John Paul Jones. This album has since entered the lexicon of Eno myth.

This pressing is top quality. Absolutely amazing sound. Loved the images and info on the inner bags.
