- Jim W.Atlanta, GA1,300 contributionsWe took a hike here just after the eclipse happened. This place had apparently been a popular venue to watch the eclipse, but the crowds had partly left just before we arrived. There was plenty of parking at that point, and I'd assume that parking isn't an issue generally.
We consulted a nearby map/sign and saw a good loop route. The trail was also paved, though there are a number of side trails where are not. The main trail is about 40 - 50 % shaded, which is probably even more important in the summer.
The only issue we had was that, on the far side of the loop, the paved trail diverged. We followed the wrong (right-leading) path for a couple of hundred yards before noticing on a map app that we had strayed. My only advice to the park would be to increase the signage to keep people on the main trail.
As we returned, we saw more of the core facilities which are near one side of the parking lot - large restrooms, a playground, and some picnic pavilions.
If you are in this area and just want to escape suburbia for an hour, this is a great option.Written April 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There was free three (3)-hour parking on the streets, and I browsed throughout the downtown by foot. It was a very pretty and laidback downtown area with many nice lofts, restaurants, and shops. I felt very safe.Written March 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- pjj89511Reno, NV206 contributionsFun little museum with very knowledgeable and dedicated staff. The displays are nicely done and the interactive children's educational area is fun for all ages. The highlight is going on the railcar.Written April 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GoGatorsWayneOdessa, FL809 contributionsIt has the best of all worlds. Lakes - check. Streams - check. Wide sidewalks - check. Woods with trails - check. Great park. Only drawback is you will be with many other people, and many of them have dogs that poop on the sidewalk.Written December 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael BMuncie, IN70 contributionsI attended a production in Dec 2021 with a group of friends. BLOWN AWAY. So professional and so emotional. From the contemporary Christmas songs and scenes to the stunning birth of the Savior. Watching the 3 kings and their entourage, to all the live animals and the Heavenly Host flying through the air was nearly two hours of non-stop performance. I've been to Hollywood, Broadway, Radio City Music Hall, and Prestonwood is a great as anything I've witnessed in those performance venues.
We will go back next year and take as many others as we can to witness the extravaganza!Written January 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They work the entire year to gather prom dresses, jewelry, shoes and bags for girls that normally could not afford to attend their prom. Every time I am in the church (not a member of the congregation) I see people donating, volunteering, rallying to help others.......they are spot on here and I am warmed by their generosity with time and money.Written May 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The service was prompt, the food was definitely upscale, fresh, gourmet and tasty! The Coconut pie was "to die for". After our lunch we perused the aisles of the antique mall and I found just the gift for my daughter-in-love. Seriously recommend this Antique Mall and tea shop!Written August 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Deadstop5712 contributionsSo much fun to be had here for little ones. On holiday weekend cousins fro. 2 to 6 from all over the country got together for playtime. Great place to run off lots of energy. You do need to monitor your kids, but no biggie. Best part is you dont need to clean up! - kayandkeithDuncanville, TX13 contributionsMy husband and I really like the Texas pool. We love that it is a saline pool as opposed to chlorine. Multiple lifeguards for kids. It is not as large as other public pools so it's rarely crowded. Many places 2 Lounge, cookout, shade. We love that it is a non-profit and that it was saved from Demolition.Written July 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
