- Melvin UdallPasadena, CA123 contributionsMy wife booked this tour through TripAdvisor. The meeting point for this tour was at Via Plauto 17, 00193 Roma, Italia. Our guide was Norman, a very pleasant man who was very knowledgeable and passionate about history of the Vatican. The tour led us through the different sections of the Vatican (the Sixteenth Chapel, St. Peter’s Square, The Basilica of St . Peter and much more). The Vatican was an impressive and massive site and Michael Angelo’s work of art and sculptures were simply amazing.
The tour is the only way to gain access fast and quick (3 hour tour) and you get priority as you navigate the site. I do have to say there were way too many people in the Vatican at one time, which made it almost impossible to take great pictures, not to mention people from all over the world, some lacked the norms and customs some of us are used to. - Hanson T1 contributionWe did many guided tours on our trip (in Venice, Florence, and Rome) and had some great guides but our guide Giorgio on this tour was by far the best guide we had. He was enthusiastic and engaging, in a way that got everyone in our group involved. By the end of the tour he knew everyone's names and he really taught us a lot about the subject matter of the tour. His English was excellent, he was funny, and he seemed like more of a teacher than a tour guide. Two of the stops we were served beer, which I don’t care for but overall food was good and last stop was very unique we loved it!! Our tour guide and driver was Arjan Prendi and he was very knowledgeable about Roman history and spoke great English for us to understand. He explained the history and architecture of each building very well and was very safe driving us around. The golf cart was very safe and fun way to see the sites of Rome. The gelato was nice treat at the Trevi Fountain. Our guide, Elisa, was extremely knowledgeable and showed and explained all the important sites. Our guide inside the ruins- Enriquo was also wonderful. Kory made the entire class seem effortless. Kory has a great sense of humor and was very present to us. She got me to do what I truly believed I would never accomplish.
