Sound quality is outstanding. I really love the authenticity of the drums, but honestly every instrument sounds superb in their own right. Vocals are so stellar, you can actually hear Brian Henneman moving in and out from the mic in spots. Fantastic release 10/10.referencing The Brooklyn Side (2×LP, Album, Record Store Day, Limited Edition, Stereo, Orange) RGM1584
30 years? No. Way. No way has it been this long since we all felt like we were in some excellent club where dudes plugged in and sang unadorned about things that resonated, especially with a kid from a blue collar family from Austin MN. The BRockets were the backbeat to a musical movement, and this is their finest hour. So glad this and their first record are getting their proper due.
Analog mastering on this is super. Brian’s mid center, and the bass rumbles appropriately, with the guitars shimmering stomping and fucking crunching as the songs dictate. Juxtapose Pot of Gold or Welfare Music with 1000 Dollar Car and one of the greatest BRockets songs “Building Chryslers” and you have a a hell of an album. Every song bangs, every song, for those who were there, is essential.
Not even going to grouse about the lack of a gatefold cause who effing cares. This is THE version that needed to happen.referencing The Brooklyn Side (CD, Album) ESD 81002
