Last year, Tokyo Revengers took the anime world by storm!

Millions of fans worldwide loved the notions of unconditional camaraderie that the series promoted. Fans also loved the many life lessons the series taught, specifically, how physical strength doesn’t always outweigh mental strength. However, overall, what most fans loved the most about this anime is its protagonist Takemichi Hanagaki a.k.a. our crybaby hero.

Takemichi may not always know what to do in a fight, but he does know that he must never give up. His relentless spirit inspired thousands to dust themselves off and try again no matter how bad it looks. It’s because of him (and many other charismatic characters) that fans are itching to receive a second season of Tokyo Revengers. But what are the chances of this happening?

Will there be a season 2 of Tokyo Revengers?

Get ready because a brand-new season of Tokyo Revengers is, indeed, on the way soon! See the official announcement via @Cruncyroll below.

The episode count for the second season is currently unknown. However, we expect, at least, a total of 12 episodes to cover this season.

Tokyo Revengers season 2 synopsis

The second season will be known as the “Christmas Showdown Arc”. (Manga readers, however, know this arc as the “Black Dragon Arc“.)

This arc follows the life of Takemichi Hanagaki as he navigates a new problem—a rival gang called the Black Dragons. Initially, the gang was respected throughout the country, but after Taiju Shiiba took control, it became a fearsome group that brought nothing but chaos to the land. It’s up to Takemichi to bring about the end of Black Dragons, for in doing so, he will thwart Kisaki Tetta’s wicked plans. But how will he succeed?

Tokyo Revengers season 2 cast

For the most part, the original voice cast of Tokyo Revengers season 2 will stay the same. The cast includes:

• Yuuki Shin as Takemichi Hanagaki
• Yuu Hayashi as Manjirou Sano
• Shou Karino as Chifuyu Matsuno
• Azumi Waki as Hinata Tachibana
• Takuya Eguchi as Shuuji Hanma
• Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Mitsyua Takashi
• Shoutarou Morikubo as Kisaki Tetta
• Ryouta Oosaka as Naoto Tachibana
• Tasuku Hatanaka as Hakkai Shiba

Additionally, Tokyo Ghoul‘s Natsuki Hanae will return to voice Hajime “KoKo” Kokonoi, and Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Junya Enoki will voice Inui “Inupi” Seishuu.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Tatsuhisa Suzuki will not reprise his role as Ken “Draken” Ryuuguuji. Instead, Blue Period‘s Masaya Fukunishi will play the part.
