In the last show of the series, Sounds of the 21st Century recalls the music, media, news, triumphs, tragedies and trivia from 2000 to 2010.

Claudia Winkleman introduces an immersive mix of words and music to take listeners back to a particular year - the stories, the radio and TV and the movies as people heard them at the time. No comment, no analysis, no hindsight, no celebrity memories, just the sounds of the year.

In this episode it's the soundtrack to 2010. As the ash cloud grounds the world's airlines, David Cameron and Nick Clegg appear in the rose garden at No.10 to announce a Conservative/Liberal coalition. There's conflict in the Miliband family when Ed stands against brother David for the Labour leadership. Chris Evans takes over Radio 2 Breakfast and there's music from Florence & the Machine, Owl City and Tinie Tempah.
