Willie Roy “Sonny” Killebrew, 76, of Christian County, died on Friday, April 26, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served as an airplane mechanic. He played basketball at Attucks High School. He was a musician, widely known for playing saxophone with the Jimmy Church Band, Hot Dancing and other bands. He also played in churches and for weddings, funerals and family reunions. Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, May 7, at All Nations House of Prayer. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, May 6, at the church. Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
