Duster Bennett was around in the late sixties into the early seventies, as I recall. I don't remember him after that, although he was probably still around in one form or another singing the blues in his own intimate way. The guy had a knack for singing the blues, like John Mayall, another London compatriot of his. I had a couple of his records back in the late sixties, then kind of lost touch with him. I was surprised to find his stuff out on cd and for a half-ass reasonable price even with the attached shipping and handling. If you like sixties English blues sung by white guys, you might want to give this guy a shot. Although not as good as the originals (who is?), his music still has a place in my memory of those long-gone days.
It great for what it is. Home recordings mostly. Found a lot of cross pollination on these posthumous recordings. So choose wisely
