Black Beetle is a major villain in the DC comics universe serving as one of the archenemies of Both Blue Beetle and Booster Gold.
His orgins changed in many appearances.
History[]
Black Beetle was a time travler who has acquired Reach technology on scrabs in the future and lost his sister somehow blaming Jamie for his lost for his sister. He would pretend to be Jamie and mainpulite Booster Gold into helping him go back to the past to save Ted Kord despite that Rip Hunter's saying Ted's death is a solid time. Booster agrees in that Black Beetle who has also recruited Dan garriet for his plans. The Group was sucessful in saving Ted but they learend they altered the timeline and casued max and OMACS to police the world. When Booster and Beetle try to gather the Justice League International team Black Beetle reveals his true colors and was a member of the Time Stealers as the battle goes on Ted knows the only way to end this is by sacrficing himself to stop this Which happens.
Then Another origin of Black Beetle happens with his sister Nadia getting hurt during the battle with the reach which he blames Jamie Reyes and alter aquires the black scarab to become Black Beetle and later fights against Blue Beetle for the blame of his sister's hospilzation. He was driven mad by being attacked by a scarabed possed milgraio.
Black Beetle would later go to attack Nightwing and Booster Gold into order to abuse the timelines ceating altearnative futures like when robin dies,killing many of the teen titans and trying to steal the red Scarab. Rip Hunter eventually comes in and kills Black Beetle. Black Beetle later returns in the present to attack Milagro but was stopped by Jamie Reyes.
In the Rebirth era it is revealed that Black Beetle's true name is Michael on Carter and contiunes to antagonize Booster Gold and Blue Beetle like previous version.
Powers and Ablities[]
Being a scarab user Black Beetle possess superhuman strength,speed,stamina,and durabilty. Also Can use Techno organic augments to make weapons and is a capable Time Travler.
In Other Media[]
Black Beetle appeared as one of the major villains of Young Justice Season 2 invasion in this version he was combined with elements of Dawur from the original 2006 run on Blue Beetle. Here this version was maliocus and treachours.
