Ocean View High School Reviews
Rating 3.94 out of 5 284 reviews
Ocean View was the perfect high school for me! The IB Program helped push me to my academic limits, but due to the amazing support of the school staff and my teachers, I never felt like my workload was impossible. This is including me playing a sport all four years and engaging in clubs. As long as I asked questions and continued communicating, I got all the help I needed from those working on campus. The only thing I would like to see change about the school is administration listening to our student council about certain issues involving school life. For example, mirrors were removed from the girl's bathroom with little to no explanation, and despite students asking for them to be reinstated, they remain gone. While not a major concern, I would like to see out student council have more influence. Regardless, Ocean View was an amazing school for me that truly allowed me to thrive. While I didn't get the IB Diploma, the opportunity to do so is absolutely worth it. The school is great.
I lived next door to Edison High School but I knew going to such a big school like that, I would just be a number. Ocean View's teachers and staff truly do care about each and every student and want to see them succeed. I felt very welcome and comfortable at this school and wish this experience for everyone. Side note- Mr. Keating and Mr. Volo are the goats
Ocean View High School is great for having a small population of students. With fewer students, you get a better education in my opinion. School administration is easy to talk to if you ever need help. Teachers are always willing to help. Sports opportunities are better here than other schools.
