I thought St. Petersburg College was an amazing experience. My professors went the extra mile.Mr. Pizana made his lectures entertaining and relevant to the class and pop culture to always keep the class engaged and setting up an exciting learning experience. Mr. Stanley taught Philosophy in away that would make each individual student was philosopher in their own right. The college over exceeded all my expectations.
At first I was going to apply to PHSC until I heard of a special program that my mom told me about called F.A.A.M.E. It was with this program that I heard about SPC and decided to change my destination. In my experience SPC is a great college. I went to the one Clear water campus so my experience will be based on that. The campus is beautiful with clean sidewalk pathways and many trees. It is an easy campus to navigate and is very organized. SPC offers great tutoring to almost all forms of subjects. They even have people who can help you make resume's and practice interviews. Although a lot of other colleges probably do this as well, the people that helped me were awesome, chill, and very respectful. I like how nice all of my professors all were as it was easy to get in contact with them weather I did my classes in person or online. The events at the campus are consistent and always different. Even though this college isn't really heard of, I would recommend people to go here.
I have been a fully online student at SPC for two years. This experience has been incredible and has shaped my academic career in many ways. The professors and online courses pave the way to success for students, as they allow students to complete coursework in a reasonable time. Being fully online at SPC has allowed me the opportunity to work full time while being a full time student, as it has also allowed me to enjoy learning new curriculum.
This is a smaller college with several campuses around the county, so the classes are smaller and you won’t get the “large auditorium” experience. But for me, it was a huge benefit. You get more personal attention from professors, you get to meet familiar people in classes and form relationships and friend groups. The teaching staff have been incredibly accommodating to my needs and actively helped me with my academic work. Just make sure not to wait till the very last minute.
As a former student of SPC, I love how the staff working in the campus, they do everything super fast and they are very nice. I never had a bad experience in all campus. The staff/officer are good at getting you where you need to be. Besides that, my professors were so nice and they seem like really love their jobs. I miss how they spend their time after lectures to answer any questions.
I didn't have any bad experience in SPC so maybe there nothing I would like to see they change.

I loved my experience at St. Petersburg College. The professors I have had throughout my educational career were clear with dead lines and expectations.
Only wish I have for the school would be that they actively promote the health education center's counseling services across all campuses. This would help everyone be well-informed about medical field education.

It’s a public college but not very well funded. No on campus dorming and the area is expensive. But all in all, is an ok place to get an AA before transferring to another school.
I have nothing but positive things to say about being a student at SPC. The courses are challenging but interesting with professors who really care about student success. The total cost of attending SPC is well below other 4-year colleges, and I like the trimester scheduling options. Transferring to another 4 year college or university is a very realizable option, and opportunities for students with disabilities, tutoring, and financial aid is exceptional. The only thing I would like to see offered additionally is some form of student housing,.
SPC is pretty cool honestly, they get things done pretty quick and care about the experience, the professors I've interacted with have been great and light hearted.
Upon attending, I thought I would not receive the best academic experience here, but after taking classes at St. Petersburg College, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the learning environment. The professors were great, understanding, and focused on making sure you succeed.
As a dual enrollment student taking college classes at SPC – Tarpon Springs, I found the campus safe and calm. The college offers a good variety of courses, including various study-abroad opportunities. The professors are helpful and supportive. The school environment is fun and diverse, with students representing different backgrounds and/or work experiences. SPC provides an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
I was a transfer from a campus in Tampa and it was like night and day. St. Petersburg college has been so good to me when it comes to finding classes. The advisors have helped me so much when I needed help!
I really liked being at SPC. The Seminole and Gibbs campuses are beautiful and I was really amazed by the amount of nature around. Some of the professors I didn't particularly care for but my advisor is amazing and has been a very big help. They are very quick to help in Financial Aid and Accessibility and they have a lot of different types of courses that are very interesting like Digital Media and the MIRA program for music.
The Music Industry Recording Arts program is perfect for anyone who, is passionate about audio production, and engineering. I have been in the MIRA program for over a year now, I have enjoyed every minute of it!
