Just want to understand what the "High" means under the RISK column for an update of a current version to a latest version of Google Chrome. The High Risk makes me a little nervous about updating.

New versions of programs come for many different reasons.
Sometimes there is a small bug that is fixed and other times there are major security flaws that are patched. Also new features may be introduced or other improvements made in the efficiency of the software.
Therefore I think the risk factor you are referring to tells you how important it might be to update. The choice is always yours whether to update or not but "high" should mean you should right now and "low" should mean something like if you get around to it.
I do not use the auto update feature as I think it is just too immature right now to trust. I do scan and then manually check to see if I want to go ahead and update thru the program itself or the manufacturer's website.

you just simple update via Chrome Browser, that's it all set. No need to worry about critical, High or low indication.
It is just for information how serious is the latest release, most of the softwares need to be Up To Date.
