A man has been indicted on murder charges following the tragic death of Trista Denton, a 47-year-old woman from Knoxville. Thomas Solomon, 33, was indicted by a Knox County Grand Jury for second-degree murder in connection to Denton’s murder. The Knoxville Police Department confirmed this development and stated that Solomon is scheduled to appear in court on May 24, 2024.
The incident took place on October 9, when officers responded to a shooting at the corner of Ben Hur Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. Denton, who was the victim of the shooting, was immediately taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
