This post is great because from a non-Kibbe perspective they look quite similar, especially in the face. With a Kibbe perspective though, they are so different!
I’m not too versed in Kibbe, but my untrained brain would just assume that Amy Adams is more athletic.
amy adams radiates a statuesque quality while isla fischer seems smaller, softer, and potentially more approachable. but then again, i've always found FNs to be intimidatingly gorgeous!!
Both are intimidatingly gorgeous look at them
they are both extremely gorgeous obviously, but i dont personally get intimidating from isla fischer. intimidating is a separate quality from beauty.
Ig I agree …
haha i clarified because i didn't want to imply that i didn't think both of them are beautiful. they both def are. just totally different essences!
Amy Adams has some musculature to her fs
Its so interesting because it shows that Amy looks more traditional hourglass than the R.
That's because the wider shoulders make the waist look smaller.
Did I miss something? Is Isla newly verified?
Yes! Our master list of verified celebrities can be found here if you want to keep track of the recent verifieds!
Oooo thank you!
She is!
If they didn’t have the same hair color/style and similar skin tone, people wouldn’t think they look alike at all!!! Very interesting seeing a close side by side like this…. Isla’s softness becomes very apparent.
Really Nice comparison 💫
Wow, brilliant illustration! I see an overall openness and sturdiness to Amy’s features that becomes very apparent next to Isla’s softness. That blue dress is pure magic on Amy.
they are both so gorgeous omg
This reminds me that I need to work on my kibbe vision more. Besides the height, I didn't see too much of a difference. Oof.
If you compare the last two photos you can see that their frame is quite different. Amy has more elongation and a statuesque quality and Isla is more compact and has a very different shoulder line.
Isla also looks much more delicate, and her curves are narrower than Amy's.
Idk if i'm the only one but To me Isla Fischer and Amy Adams were sort of a bruce wayne&batman situation, never seen in the same room at the same time so who can say if they're not the same person- so seeing them together is kind of unsettling 😂
Yeah, the only thing this highlights for me is that differences between people in the Kibbe sense can be incredibly subtle and it's easy to understand why people hyperfixate on different aspects of the system.
This will legitimately help me tell them apart from now on.
wow i just realized i thought they were the same person
I always thought that Amy Adams was some kind of classic. She seems really moderate in a number of aspects.
I feel so bad that I used to think I couldn’t tell them apart. They look nothing alike
Can someone explain? Isla looks like a soft classic in that silver dress
Am I the only one that doesn’t see the resemblance? They have the same hair color and are both pretty but that’s where it ends for me.
And I still can’t tell them apart
How can someone who is 5’4” be flamboyant natural? I’m 5’7” soft natural and I am very confused now.
Kibbe recently said that at 5'6 you have automatic vertical. There are no lower height limits because vertical is about elongation OR straightness.
It’s strange. I’m 5’6, I have short arms and legs, also people usually think I’m shorter. I’m also curvy, so that means I must be a soft dramatic, when I have nothing except curve to suit that type 😬
They can’t. Which is the flaw in this system. But some people will believe anything.
Someone 5’4 can definitely be flamboyant natural. Vertical is elongation, literal height or straightness in the line. So yes someone at 5’4 who has elongation or straightness could potentially be FN if they also accommodate width.
See I find the idea that someone 5’4” can have enough elongation to be typed what is considered one of the few “tall types” to be laughable. And what width? It isn’t only that shoulders are broad but the entire upper body/torso. Which Amy does not have, not by a long shot. I believe she was typed more by perceived “essence” when he met her versus actual body type aka the crux of this system.
Width is relative to one’s own body and you can see that she has it. It may not really be a very large amount of width, but if you did a line drawing for her you can see what width that’s there
I see no resemblance except the hair. Amy Adams looks more like a more attractive Jenna Fischer (Pam, The Office) which is actually commented on throughout the few episodes she’s in.
Nocturnal animals was a ride because they look alike. Although they also don’t. I did think Amy was TR
As a super obvious FN myself I still absolutely canNOT fathom how Amy Adams is supposedly a FN?! If you put us side by side we would have every bit as many if not more differences than Amy has to Isla. Even if we were just talking essence and not body composition she absolutely does not have the free spirited vibe of a FN. I simply do not see it …
In posed photos a lot of FNs won’t necessarily give off a free-spirited vibe because they’re trying to look neutral, and having strong features can give you a more serious look. But if you look at her in interviews I think it comes across. People of the same ID won’t necessarily look similar as it’s about what’s present in your own body, she has width and vertical in relation to her moderate size.
This is so interesting because I def see the essence in comparison holding the two Women’s hair, other variables constant
Can you imagine Amy as a "pure N"? If you compare with the celebrities. I did a side by side comparison with the woman from the book, and their bodies are pretty similar. Could you imagine her as having a girl next door essence?
Not particularly. I see Isla as having the girl next door vibe, particularly after Wedding Crashers. Amy has always stood out to me as one of the most clear examples of a member of the classic family. And if Amy IS a FN I dread to think how Kibbe would type me because there really isn’t anything else I could be, yet she and I could not be more different.
Look at the body comp. You can see that Amy has wider shoulders and a more sculpted figure while Amy has a more smooth figure with small shoulders.
Oh yes, I see that Amy is more yang than Isla but I do not believe she is so yang as to be FN. I don’t see how she needs to size up in tops, I don’t see super elongated limbs and her body weight (when she has been slightly larger) doesn’t distribute the way a FN does. How can she be a FN when she breaks all the rules for identifying as one. It’s confounding.
I'm having the impression that my comments aren't appearing in the group and I'm commenting like sh1t, btw 💩

I love fishy
I find it exciting to have verification of Isla Fisher. I remember Kibbe communities discussing her and many thought she was Soft Classic. I can see why because to me her overall body appearance seems pretty balanced yet yin. Additionally, the way she wears her clothes often seems very good for soft classics. Once you take her in completely though, you will see her face, her coloring, her hair, and over all vibe seem very yin and romantic. I like seeing David Kibbe giving verification of celebrities. I find it not only interesting but informative.
Regarding Amy Adams and Isla Fisher often looking alike, I’ve noted it too. However, they have always given a different vibe to me. The expression in their eyes in particular (plus the difference in coloring) are what has always helped me differentiate. As they’ve gotten a little older, more of their differences seem clear.
