Beautiful setting. Feel like you’re nestled in the mountains. Pool area was nicely laid out - plenty of chairs and a fire pit. We went mid-Oct and it was not crowded (about 30 other people). We took our three teenage boys and grandma - we spent about 2.5 hours there on our way to Yellowstone, but could have stayed longer!

We had a spectacular day with Adam and Peter, our guides! Nine of us rode beautiful horses through the gorgeous mountains. The views could not be beat!

My wife and I did a float trip down the yellowstone with Cody and he met all expectations and then some. Since this was my wife's first time ever fly-fishing I was wondering how he was going to juggle everything. He had her catching in no time which was a bonus for me because it gave me an opportunity to fish these fabled waters and catch my bucket list native cutthroat trout!

Six of us (4 adults & 2 teens) did the two-hour ride on Saturday morning, 7/29. As some have said, the road up to Jardine and to the horse corral was an adventure in itself, but nothing a minivan couldn't handle! We arrived about 15 minutes before our scheduled 9:00 ride. Ralph and a couple others were there. J.R. was our guide. He went through the basics of horseback riding with us and then they paired us up with our horses, making sure everyone was comfortable with what they were doing. We headed out into some absolutely beautiful upcountry until we reached a large open meadow an hour into the ride. We then returned via the same trail, as there are no "loops" up there. J.R. was very good at setting a nice pace and keeping an eye on everyone and slowing/stopping as needed when someone's horse wasn't cooperating (be aware that Mouse likes to stop and eat grass a lot if you let him! :-)
The two hours seemed to pass quickly as the scenery from up there was gorgeous. Everyone really enjoyed the experience.
Highly recommend the two-hour ride with this outfit!

It was peaceful and beautiful and we had a raft to ourselves! Even though they only had the 2 of us for a tour, they didn't cancel it! Tom even watched our dog with his dog Eddy. He cared for her as if she was his own! They went WAY out of their way! Pat was also amazing! Matt was an awesome guide and we talked his ear off..They all had great attitudes and showed us wonderful hospitality! We loved it and would recommend them to anyone!

Ingrid (hopefully the spelling is correct) was our tour guide. This was a great time. He took the time to give us all the back ground on different things in montane. Would def recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about Emil and his company, Yellowstone Wild! I was taking a group of women Wildlife photographers to photograph the Winter Wildlife in Yellowstone and when my initial plans and company fell through, I went looking for other options . I found Yellowstone Wild and was very impressed with their 5 Star reviews as well as their focus on ethical Wildlife viewing and photographing. We had two days with them and were on our own the rest of the week, but I wished we had booked more time with Emil! I'm SO glad we went with this company, and I'll absolutely be working with them again in the future!

Emil's passion for and knowledge of Wildlife and their behaviour was top-notch and most definitely better than my other experiences. He was always incredibly kind and caring, going above and beyond to make sure we all had an amazing experience. The first day we got to have breakfast while watching Wolves. You can't beat that! The breakfasts and lunches were amazing and delicious for everyone, even those with special dietary needs, and he even sets up a picnic table for lunches. He makes you feel like you belong there and like you're family. This ethic and high level of standards is seen in all the other guides with the company as well. Matt, Rob, Laura - when we had the opportunity to meet them they were all positive, passionate, knowledgeable, and helpful as well.

We talked a lot about the ethics of Wildlife viewing and photography while in the vehicle as there are always those who put the health, safety, and comfort of Wildlife before everything else, and then there are those who are there just to get the image, regardless of what it takes to get it. Our discussions and his practices confirmed time and again that I'd made the right choice in which company to book our time with!

Whether you're looking for a photography tour, bringing your kids to experience the park, or are traveling solo, you will come away having had an amazing time, learned a lot of cool things, and made memories to last a lifetime!

Sean was absolutely the best guide! He not only guided us safely through the rapids, he provided terrific commentary on the history of the park as well as interesting conversation. We will definitely schedule another trip with Yellowstone Raft Company. We had such a great time!

MacNeil Lyons is the real deal! Once in a lifetime experience. His of depth knowledge and experience of Yellowstone is incredible. Whether it be animals, history, geological history, you name it, he makes it great. Perhaps the highest compliment is his friends, peers and rangers that we met on the way said he was the best, great choice, unsolicited. The photos, videos and memories he recorded for us and even edited were the cherry on top. My wife and I could not recommend him enough!

Cara was an amazing guide. She has so much knowledge about the ecosystem. We saw so many animals! 2 wolf packs, a mountain lion, 2 moose, pronghorn, bison, pygmy owl, great horned owl. Epic day and so much fun. A must do and totally different way to see Yellowstone. It was a true life-moment.

Our mid-March and thus late-winter visit to the Northern range of Yellowstone NP was an exceptional and unique experience for us in all its aspects. Obviously, we were very lucky to have such exceptional weather with picture-perfect conditions in the park.

Yet it goes without saying that the preparations to the trip in addition to the professional and friendly guidance by Audra Conklin and Shauna Baron of Lamar Valley Touring were key contributors.
It was really a pleasure to see how enthusiastically and with full energy Shauna did the outmost to find wildlife in the park. Based upon her long history and rich experience she is well connected and embedded into the professional and amateur park community.

With all of that it is very likely that we will come back to Wyoming and the surrounding states to further explore its beautiful nature and wildlife.

I can't stress highly enough how Walking Shadow Tours MADE our trip to Yellowstone! Ashea is highly knowledgeable with decades of experience in Yellowstone. She supplied binoculars and field scopes. Without these aids, we never would have seen the variety of wildlife that we were able to see, and we checked off EVERY animal (and then some) on our must see list because of Ashea's expertise. We spent 3 days with Ashea and were treated to full day adventures, snacks and lunch. It was also a pleasure to spend time with a guide so friendly and warm as Ashea. She can easily converse on geology, vulcanology, and the entire ecosystem of the park, from bacteria to apex predators. We really did not need to do anything to prepare for these tours besides dressing for the weather. Worth every penny!
