If you visit Turin, please just include a visit in this museum.
Even if I knew it is a world wide known museum everything was over my expectation! I learned a lot of things.
A do it yourself visit may be long and/or superficial. I really suggest to book a guide tour!
    Maybe expensive but really usefull.

This is a fantastic museum for learning about the history of the beginning of cinema, and then well-curated rooms about different genres and filmmaking roles. Very interactive and imaginative presentations. Make sure to get the ticket for the panoramic lift to the top of the museum - the view is breathtaking! And the ride up and down (there is no elevator shaft) is part of the adventure!

Went with my wife to this palace. And we enjoyed it very much! Such impressive interiors and such a huge collection! The museum is divided into several parts - there is an armory with the most interesting exhibits (some of them are exact copies), there are royal chambers, there is an art gallery with rare works of the most famous painters of XIV-XIX centuries, there is ancient art. It took us two and a half hours to go around the museum and we had no energy left for exploring the Egyptian archeology.
I recommend it! This is one of the must-see museums in Turin. Entrance is 15 euros.

We flew to Turin mainly so see Juventus play, and have got to saw it was an amazing experience. What a crowd, what an atmosphere, and with a last minute winning goal (3-2 win over Frosinone) the crowd went crazy. A beautiful stadium, great game of football, and a very passionate and vocal crowd - simply awesome! Please allow a lot of time to get in as there are 3 security checks and the queues are long.

    Very highly recommend!

Piazza Castello is the main square of Turin and is absolutely stunning. It is dominated by Palazzo Madama with its unique double facade - it has a castle on one side and a palace on the other.

The Parco del Valentino lies on the River Po and is a short walk from the city centre.

It is extremely varied with a French-style château which houses the local university's Faculty of Architecture, a faux medieval village (actually built in the 19th century), a huge fountain symbolising the 12 months of the year, etc.

Perfect for kids, walkers, cyclists or anyone who wants to appreciate some welcome greenery.

We had a fantastic experience here. The museum is huge with so much information and exhibits to see. Lots of interactive displays. Amazing decoration throughout. We were there during the Tim Burton exhibition which was stunning. Over 500 pieces apparently, beautifully displayed in a variety of ways. We were there for a good two hours.
The lift in the centre of the museum which goes up to a viewing platform on the roof was great to watch and also experience. However the view from the roof terrace was disappointing as it was wet and windy when we were there. But apparently you can see the mountains on a clear day.
Make sure you book in advance as it does get very busy but you'll be in there so long that the crowds will disperse around you. Really good experience.

The views from the hill are great although you can see more from the front than the back of the church itself. Head round the back on the footpath to see the memorial to the plane crash though. Inside is pleasant and one of the most fascinating things is probably the graffiti - much of it 100 years old or more! The museum element of it does close for lunch so pick your time wisely. Out of season, there are limited food and drink options although the public toilets remain open just outside it. Well worth a trip up to escape the city even if just for a short while.

This is an amazing collection of armour and arms of general interest to ordinary visitors. It benefits from being included in the palace admission ticket.

    Something for the specialist perhaps?

Every inch decorated with gold, marble or frescoes. Fit for a royal. You can comfortably see everything from the benches.
