Eric Donald Griffiths (born 31 October, 1940 in Denbigh, North Wales, Wales-29 January, 2005 Edinburgh, Scotland) was a British musician, best known as the guitarist in the original formation of The Quarrymen in November of 1956, until he was fired from the band by Nigel Walley in the summer of 1958 to be replaced by George Harrison.
