We also enjoyed the surroundings and the variety of antiques throughout the home. One of the best things was the talking to other guests while sharing the outstanding breakfasts that were always delicious and different every morning.

I loved that this is an old historic building with an interesting story. Robert , the owner, who is the only staff member is very interesting to talk to. He gave me a detailed history of the inn as well as Dubuque. The breakfast is amazing & exceptionally good coffee ( rare in America in my experience). Within walking distance of lots of sites, Monk bar which is good for a relaxed drink & close to restaurants. Easy parking
