Stop promoting the unforgivable sin.

I wouldn’t share the only unforgivable sin in public.

Do not cast pearls to pigs, if I am an person who thinks the bible is dumb now, I’d see this read the verse and try to commit the sin for giggles

Now what happens when I try to repent later?

I can’t!

We are suppose to be sharing the gospel not the unforgivable sin.

I just thank God I was too afraid of Him to commit it in my moments of unbelief

The Bible already tells people what the unforgivable sin is. No one is promoting it.

I've heard it said that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the intentional hardening of one's heart, to the point that they would see a true miracle in front of their eyes and still deny the power of the Holy Spirit.

Such as in the context of the religious leaders denying Jesus' miracles, despite having lepers and blind men sent to the temple directly after their healing.

Mike winger did a pretty good exposition of this, and basically said that it's only possible to do upon death, because repenting of it before death would disqualify it from being unforgivable.

You can’t commit the unforgivable sin while you are alive. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is a denial of Gods forgiveness and grace until death, it isn’t something a living person can commit.

Unbeliever will try going around saying bad things about The Holy Spirit.

They should not be told of this sin.

If they were gonna do that they will just say some other thing against God.

They still can’t commit the unforgivable sin. Promoting this like they can does more harm than good, because it makes people paranoid they have committed it. When they haven’t and can’t unless they die.

Well I wouldn’t try it nor promote the unforgivable sin.

Are you sure? From the context of it, it sounds like it could be done by a living person.

Yes, you need to take into context the entirety of the New Testament and its teachings.

Saul who later became Paul tortured and killed Christian’s, yet that was not blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus cried out for forgiveness for those who crucified him, that wasn’t blasphemy of the Holy Spirit then either.

So if Crucifying the son of God isn’t unforgivable, and murdering Christian’s isn’t unforgivable. Actually not only was Saul forgiven he was renamed Paul and became one of the most influential NT writers. Saying some words isn’t going to condemn you to never be forgiven, it just doesn’t make sense in context of Jesus’s teachings.

So what does it mean? It can only mean that to blaspheme the Holy Spirit is to die without the Grace of God. In John 20:23 he said ANY sins the apostles forgave would be forgiven. The apostles can’t forgive a sin after you have died, and to die without Gods grace is to blaspheme his gift and reject the Holy Spirit.

Hope that makes sense.

And did you actually see where the New Testament mentions blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? You must’ve failed to check Mark 3:20-30. There, you’ll find the context you need for the unforgivable sin of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. It is not what you say it is. But rather, it is to deny what the Holy Spirit does.

Yea, I’ve read Mark 3:20-30. I’ve actually read the entire New Testament multiple times and I’m preparing to read the 400AD version in Latin.

The context does not contradict anything I said and everything I’ve said is in line with Church teachings. You cannot commit Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit without rejecting Gods grace until death.

Everyone should be told of this sin, and then let them make the choice of committing it or not. It might even deter some.
