As y'all know I am absolutely crazy about my DeCoteau lifetime movies, but this one is a stinker!! The Prince is extremely ugly & annoying and I think that is my biggest complaint. I would much rather date beefy himbo Joey! Vivica saying "you picked the wrong prince charming" couldn't even save this. </3
the wrong prince charming(!?!) is kind of funny as an inverse to the royal romance TVMs that have been super popular w/ american women the past few years. you can't turn on lifetime or hallmark between late october through december and not catch a full month's marathon of christmas princes!! this is a slight exaggeration there are different flavors of tv xmas movies but the ubiquity of the secret & not-so-secret royalty fare may shock and appall you. i don't get it i don't go for romanticizing a monarchy but it takes all kinds i guess. anyway this guy is in one of them too!! play ur cards right buddy before you know it you'll be in every single one. he's…
Whoever invented the Bechdel test is turning in their grave right now. Why does Lifetime hate women so much? And why does this house have horse tiles? And why did I watch this?
A dumb explanation even by Wrong standards for how this con man can successfully impersonate a prince in our digital age, but it does feature an irresistible Vivica title drop. Even though Viv encouraged the main dummy to go after the fake prince – practically encouraged her to sleep with him to land the deal! – she still chastised the woman for choosing the wrooooong Prince Charming. No guilt whatsoever and 100% judgment – that’s why Viv reigns in the Wrong universe!

Almost the same exact plot as two movies he made literally right before this one. Vague business deals and smarmy assholes, almost entirely executed with conversations over booze/tea/coffee/whathaveyou in locations that feel like ranch houses substituting restaurants. Fox has a slightly more involved role at least, and still delivers the final beat of the stating the title of the movie.
DeCoteau-isms:

- oh, nothing. Just us bros hanging around the house with our shirts off
- every issue in life can be tackled with sitting down outside with a nice cup o' joe
- it'd be great if we could get some kind of Wrong-verse where all these assholes that make it to a final stinger of a scene team up on these chicks that ruined their plans, and Fox kung fus the shit out of them
Only a half star for this one because it doesn’t feature any of DeCoteau’s regulars (aside from Vivica A Fox). The accents in this are hilarious. The horse tile in the house is spectacular too.
