We were in search of trying bagels from our usual spot in the city. In doing research Tompkins Square rose to the top of the list! We factored stopping at this location during our walk throughout the day, and we are so glad we stopped....The line was long, yet it did move quickly. We only wanted one everything bagel with plain cream cheese, so pretty easy. And yes, even though they say their bagels shouldn't be toasted, we asked for it to be as we like just a tiny bit of crunch to our bagel.
An amazing bagel! We love a lot of seasoning on our bagel and this was seasoned on both sides. Loved it; probably now the best bagel we have ever had. Will definitely return AND more than likely will have them shipped through Goldbelly even though that would be at a premium price, However, they store in the freezer perfectly, and sometimes it is just nice for that extra special treat while at home.
PS - thanks to the employee who overheard me while standing in line that I was an Out of Order sign on the bathroom door. I really did need to go, and I appreciate him getting the key to unlock the door. Thank you! It made enjoying the bagel that much more enjoyable being comfortable.More
