This one sounds really big with a thrilling soundstage that pops from my vintage set up.the tracks have Twists and turns that are sure to delight fans of ELO,10cc, king crimson’s aggressive side and queen. I love their first 3 and find them essential. Seek this out in addition to their first and 3rd sir army suit which is chock full of pop nuggets. Hope is an overlooked masterpiece

Exceptional and underrated album. A masterpiece of instrumentation and overall just really great music.

Different soundstage than the '91 Cinram, but also seems to be wide open, so this is likely the best this will sound. Perhaps not for all tastes but one cannot deny the sheer musicality of this epic prog quirkfest.

This one of a kind art pop symphonic space opera is a perfect continuation of the final themes from 3:47 E.S.T.. Exxcellent digital transfer.

Man the scalpers are going crazy with the prices on these CDs. I'll just torrent this band I guess

Pressing is pretty thin, and it sounds alright over all

Perfection Combination of Pop / Rock / Classical / Sci-fi / Beatles to make a stunning album by my favorite Canadian band of all time. This is my favorite album of all time. Released in 1977. There is no album like it ! Totally unique!

Listening to this again, after a 25+ year hiatus on my part, is astonishing. All the quirky inventiveness of their debut album with a maturity and coherence that comes with complete confidence in your musical vision. Brilliant.

This album to me is the pinnacle of Klaatu's work. None of the other albums achieve what this one does. I really wish Klaatu had stuck more to this kind of material and arrangement. "We're Off You Know" is a wonderful art rock tune that makes brilliant use of brass and woodwinds. "Madman" is a more straightforward hard rock song and "Around The Universe In Eighty Days" is a space rock/art rock song with some interesting sounds, though it occasionally reminds me of Spinal Tap. "Long Live Politzania" closes the first side of the record and sets the background for what follows on the other side. Politzania is a cautionary tale about a civilization that destroyed itself. Side Two of the album is a concept about the "Loneliest Of All Creatures In The Universe". He is the sole survivor of Politzania, and his task is to man the lighthouse that warns ships to steer clear of the ruins of his planet. The orchestral art rock/symphonic prog on this side of the record is simply sublime. It is a pity that Klaatu did not explore this direction further, and instead became more pop-oriented on their subsequent albums.
