Oriol Romeu doesn't make his agent give stupid interviews

do you think roque would instruct his agent to do so?

and so if he does is it fair from xavi to not give him any minutes for that?

1: I dont think so

2: If he did, definitely

Not sure if you expect Roque to play as a pivot?

Christensen can't play full 90.

do you know when was oriol romeu subbed in?

Xavi couldn't unclench before lmao

I would take Sergi Roberto as a sub for Christensen over Romeu every day.

Sergi Roberto was used to sub out Pedri because he can't play full 90 either. And Fermin came on for Gundogan.

Vitor Roque would be a great addition to the team IMO. He is like Gavi, but a striker. I don't understand why Xavi doesn't even let him play and how his abilities.

He showed different movements compared to others on the team.

Like the goal on the first post (when a cross is coming it), it's a killer instinct of sort.

And as others said - just shape him however you want Xavi, you literally have a youngster that want to be there and loves the club.

Make him your ideal striker.

I think we’re gonna hear a lot about him if they are going to sell him. He indeed has a great instinct.

Xavi doesn't coach players, so he wants City players who are already ready-made and coached by Pep. He plays a lot of youngsters, granted, but how many of them developed and improved in his tenure? Pedri stagnated. Ferran was one of the best young attackers with Pep, but Xavi shattered his morale. Nico Gonzalez? Ansu? Balde? I could go on and on. The players are not improving. I have not missed one Barca game in 6 years and I watched a lot of football. So, I have watched these players produce mediocrity for a while. If Xavi were not Xavi Hernandez the greatest midfielder in our generation, he would have never gotten the job. Juve saw it with Pirlo, he was an amazing player, but couldn't replicate it as a manager. What Juve did was they jumped ship early on. We stuck with Xavi even with such a horrible season. I know context matters with injuries and whatnot, but what's the excuse that we're playing dire football? I look at Girona, having worse players than us in every single position and playing outstanding football that produces results. Then I look at Xavi's squad and wonder how nearly every player on the pitch is underperforming.

This is a slap to Xavi no matter what way we see it, and unlike like the past few months he deserved it this time. You have a player on the verge of explosion, this is the time he has to play for him to be set for next season. Not playing due to FPP and all, it really doesn't feel the right even if the enterouge was clear. Everything sound breezy in words, reality is a whole different ballgame.

It never ends well when agents get involved and start speaking up so I don't like where Roque's story with Barca is headed... he was the perfect future 9 we were looking for so long and just months later he's expected to leave. Vini was so shit at first i used to be happy when he came on, but now look at him. Give the kid time.

He was one of the top 3 best strikers of Brazil in 2023 but he is no match for "Xavi's" team. I mean, he has 13 games and only 310 minutes... I am genuinely sad for the decisions the are being taken upon our beloved team.

I love this fanbase so much. The passion.

No doubt in my mind he’ll dunk on us one day if we sell him.

Xavi Hernandez in 3 months went from this to saying that Roque isn't playing because of fierce competition. And who is he competing with currently you may ask? Ferran Torres.

Really not a good look by management/staff, pretty gross tbh

If xavi keeps on benching him he might become dembele 2.0 in 3/4 yrs

u/rim261 avatar

Most likely. He will knock us out in CL like Coutinho and Dembele

I want to see less crying and more work from Vitor Roque. As is doing Arda Guler at Madrid, Bryan at Bayern and Marc Guiu here.

No big club gifts minutes. Vitor Roque has received way more minutes than any of the mentioned players and he is the only one making a scandal about his minutes.

Work hard and earn your place we are no charity, that's the problem of signing some young players they still have kid mentality. If we are crying and giving up just 4 months in then we are of no use to the club.

Arda Gular was injured in training twice, Guiu is an academy player and Yamal and Fati are the only La Masia attackers to have made an impact in the last decade. Roque was celebrated in Brazil and his signing and arrival have been publicised like no other player in recent times. Of course he’ll make a fuss. He’s a 19 year old Brazilian in Barcelona. He scored goals even when played out of position, and then suddenly frozen out because of a shambolic red card and a pissing contest between two professional grown men.

It's not really a contest between two grown professionals. It's just one whiny professional. Board can sign whoever they want, albeit ofcourse with some input from coaches and manager. It's not board's job to sign only those players that Xavi wants. Let's say Deco gets everyone that Xavi wants, and incompetent and devoid of any sense of criticism as he is, Xavi leaves, his ass was going to too. So then we are stuck with an entire brigade that a stubborn, unprofessional and incompetent manager wanted?

Let's face it. No other manager, even highly regarded like Klopp or Tuchel would get so many leeways as Xavi gets, just because he is club legend. And at this point it seems like he is just taking advantage of it to get his way.

P. S. - All this ofcourse if the reports in media are to believed. And, they don't seem as far fetched.

you are right man. this would be the role of the sporting director

Spitting facts man.

Roque literally hasn't told anything to the media, how can you know he is not working hard enough?

is Barca meritocratic now? woah that's new

u/Working_Aioli8417 avatar

Only for the players Xavi don't like

Of course it is, that's why Sergio R(onaldinho regen)oberto is getting a contract renewal.

Victor, personally, has been crying?

I mean, inside probably, but no showing it to any media or something.. Imagine if it was any of us on his shoes, 18y.o boy who was one of the top 3 strikes of Brazil, coming to a huge club, realizing a dream but being chopped off by a coach who lacks of intelligence / kindness.. I would be dead inside rn, not gonna lie..

This is insane. People should shut up and trust the manager. This is not the way, this will only divide more. Victor has not said anything, I think, but his wife and his agent have talked. This is disrespectful to the manager and to his teammates. So, Victor, trust the manager, work harder and learn, adapt, having a bad attitude towards the manager/club is never the solution

"People should shut up and trust the manager"

Yea sure, because doing that have worked so well in the past...

Xavi doesn’t even talk to him. It’s Xavi who has a bad attitude. His taking out his frustration with Deco on an innocent signing that has done nothing wrong so far.

Trust the manager? The same guy who requested Alonso and once he failed told us to renew him? Same guy who requested Roberto to be renewed last year and again this year? The same guy who preferred Eric Garcia while he was making mistake after mistake over Aurajo? The same guy that requested we bring in Bernardo Silva to play RW even though we didn’t have a LW and had Dembele, Ferran Torres, Raphinha and Yamel on the right? The same manager who’s likely to not be here after next season? Yeah let’s trust him.

I missed this, but you are an idiot. Yes, you know shit compared to Xavi, if you put someone to do something, you cannot put stones in his path. Alonso came for free and played good, stayed for free, and later came Cancelo. Roberto has been great this season, without him, we would be playing 15 year olds burning them too early. That's what people don't see, young people get burned quickly if not handled correctly. Yamal is different because he is clearly world class, different breed, although we thought the same about Fati. Silva is world class, we needed him this season too. His signing was preferred over Raphinha. We needed Silva because he can play in midfield and take responsibility with the ball, thing we missed this season. Eric making mistakes... And over Araujo? What games do you watch?

If you don't trust Xavi to know football and to do the best for Barca then you are a fool. I could say a thousand good things xavi did good and it won't matter because you don't care. Because you will never admit you are to blame about Barca s woes
