My teachers were incredible and truly prepared me to be successful in college. The culture at school was like a family and everyone got along, students and teachers alike. What could be improved is admin--they are authoritative and don't take student opinions and feedback into consideration. This has led to a general dislike of admin, but still McQueen was excellent. I loved participating in sports, attending sporting events, and organizing club events.
Attending Robert McQueen High School has been very nice. I have never had problems in the school that couldn't be solved. The staff at the school are also very kind and the teachers try there best to understand the students. I have learned a lot by attending this school and have gotten a lot of support at my sport. I know that it can't be perfect for there are still some things that lack, but they are very open to changing things in order for the school to become better. I would also like to say that the arts industry has grown so much lately, from the art, to the music, all the way to theatre performances. I would say that although they have some good things it also seems like we still lack money on some part from being able to fund certain programs . With all of this I still think this is a great school and an open minded one as well.
The nice thing about McQueen is that it has a smaller campus and engaged students. Overall, there's not many fights or drama, and the teachers and security do a really good job keeping the school a drug and vape-free space. The teachers have thus far been really good for a public school, but the fine arts and sports departments aren't amazing.
