EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Head Coach Robyn Scherr-Wells has signed freshman shooting guard Kaiden Kreinhagen to the 2024 University of Evansville women's basketball class.

"We are thrilled to officially welcome Kaiden to UE!" says Scherr-Wells on the signing. "Kaiden epitomizes the type of player we want to build our program with – she is tough and athletic, she loves to get in the gym and work at her craft, she can shoot the heck out of it. She will be a great representative of our program in the classroom and the Evansville community!"

Kreinhagen comes to the Aces after four years at North Central High School in Indianapolis. With the Panthers, Kreinhagen was part of back-to-back sectional championships in 2020-21 and 2021-22. Individually, Kreinhagen had a breakout season in 2023-24 raising her points per game average over nine points from 2022-23. As a guard, Kreinhagen earned All-Marion County and All-MIC Conference recognition, while being named to Hoosier Basketball Magazine's All-State Second Team and a Top 60 Senior.

"I chose UE because I love the family environment the coaching staff has built," says Kreinhagen of her commitment. "I love the energy and passion that the team plays with each and every day! I am excited to be at UE because I know no matter if I am on the basketball court or in the classroom, I will be a part of something special!

Along with her four years with the Panthers, Kreinhagen spent time with the Indiana Girls Basketball club team in the Girls Under Armour Association. Kreinhagen spent three years with the program and spent the fall of 2023 helping coach an IGB Lil Ballers team. Kreinhagen was a two-sport athlete, playing both basketball and softball for a year.

In the classroom, Kreinhagen was a three-time Academic All-MIC Conference recipient. This fall Kreinhagen will be a communications major at UE with plans to be a marketing or communications professional in sports.

Kreinhagen is the daughter of Kevin and Kendall Kreinhagen, who both played collegiate sports at the University of Indianapolis and has one younger brother, Kole. Kreinhagen has family ties to UE as well as her great grandfather Jerry Canterbury played for the men's basketball team from 1948-1951 under Aces' legendary coach Arad McCutchan. In her free time, Kaiden enjoys volunteering for the Paul Loggan Foundation, working out, wakeboarding, and shopping for shoes.
