Canadian alternative band daysormay, consisting of Aidan Andrews (vocals/guitar/keyboards/ukulele), Carson Bassett (drums) and Nolan Bassett (bass/trumpet), returned with a new song “SIMMER” on May 15, 2024.
The song is their first music in three years since the 2021 album “Just Existing”.
Also, the track is the first single off of their upcoming full-length album “MODERATION”, which is set to be released on September 18, 2024 via TAG Music.
“SIMMER” narrates succumbing to your impulses.
It was written by Aidan Andrews, Carson Bassett, Chin Injeti, and Nolan Bassett. Produced by daysormay and Chin Injeti.
The band lead singer Aidan Andrews said of the song, “There was a point in 2021 when I had covid, and I was isolated in my room for a while. I was really struggling at the time to moderate my consumption of everything, I was giving into any and every impulse that showed up, and I didn't care. So to me the song is speaking from that place, that state of mind of knowing you're too far gone but not caring, and even leaning into it.”- source : Apple Music
