Wide receiver Martavis Bryant will work out Wednesday for the Washington Commanders, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

Bryant, 32, has not played in the NFL since making 19 catches for 266 yards in eight games for the Oakland Raiders in 2018.

He was signed to the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad in November, but did not play in a regular-season game.

Bryant then signed a reserve/future contract with with the Cowboys in January before he was released last week.

Pelissero noted at the time of Bryant's release that "other teams are interested and expected to bring him in for a look."

A former Clemson standout and 2014 fourth-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bryant recorded eight touchdowns on 26 catches his rookie season.

He went on to play three seasons for the Steelers and one for the Raiders between 2014 and 2018.

The wide receiver totaled 145 catches for 2,183 yards and 17 scores through 44 games before his career was derailed by suspensions.

After missing the 2016 season due to a suspension, Bryant was indefinitely suspended from the league during the 2018 season for violating NFL substance abuse policy.

He was reinstated shortly before signing with the Cowboys in 2023.

Bryant most recently caught 14 passes for 154 yards in eight games for the XFL's Vegas Vipers during the 2023 season.

After not playing in the NFL in five seasons, it looks like Bryant is looking to make a comeback under Commanders head coach Dan Quinn. Quinn was previously head coach of the Cowboys when Bryant signed with the team last fall.
