How well did the narrative flow?

Post by Bradley Twesten »

As I read the book, I felt there were some storylines that just didn't contribute that much to the overall narrative. I great deal was dedicated to Stephen's pursuit of a jazz career, but that only linked him to the Chinese origins of his serum/pills. His mother became an important figure later in the book, but he only had minimal interaction with her in the beginning. It felt like some storylines needed further development while others could have been cut much shorter. Thoughts?
