No matter her size, the 1000-lb Sisters star has never had a shortage of admirers. In March 2024, Tammy posted a TikTok duet with a fan named Melissa Ann. The TikTok features Melissa's footage on the right side of the split screen, and Tammy reacting to it on the left side of the screen. In the clip, Melissa tells Tammy that her nephew, Brody, is in love with her. Melissa's camera pans slightly to the side to show Brody smiling sheepishly next to his aunt. For her part, Tammy smiles and waves at Brody. The post received 2355 likes.

Tammy's admirers haven't always been the best influences on her life. Tammy's three major relationships on the show posed significant challenges. She met both Jerry Sykes and Phillip Redmond in BBW chatrooms. Jerry turned out to be married with seven children, while Phillip was a BBW influencer who didn't want Tammy to lose weight. She finally met a nice guy, Caleb Willingham, who didn't hold Tammy back.

The two fell in love and got married, but, sadly, the 41-year-old Caleb died of complications caused by his super obesity, and Tammy found herself widowed at 37 years old.

Cameo is a service in which fans can buy personalized messages from their favorite celebrity, and Tammy is one of the available celebrities. The fan was delighted by the gift. The post, which Tammy captioned, "I'm glad you loved it," garnered 1818 likes. Tammy and the other Slatons have always had a unique bond with fans who are inspired by their incredible weight-loss journeys.

Tammy's sister and fellow 1000-lb Sisters star, Amy Slaton, has also lost a considerable amount of weight since the series premiered.

Amy used to weigh over 400 pounds. She had always dreamed of being a mother but, at her size, a healthy pregnancy was out of the question. After bariatric surgery, Amy was able to shed 125 pounds, and gave birth to two little boys, Gage and Glenn Halterman. Sadly, Amy's marriage to Michael Halterman ended in divorce in 2023. Now, Amy is a single mom struggling to raise her boys while trying to continue her journey towards a healthier lifestyle.

Longtime 1000-lb Sisters fans know that Tammy is a big Disney fan. She had always wanted to go to Disney, but her size made traveling there impossible. It wasn't a surprise that, upon regaining her mobility, one of the first things Tammy did was head to Disney World. In March 2024, Tammy posted a TikTok duet with her former self. On the right side of the screen is Tammy's before clip, in which she's still wearing her oxygen tube. On the left side of the split screen is a dramatically slimmer Tammy at Disney World.

The before and after split screens offer up an amazing juxtaposition that highlights just how much Tammy's life has changed.

Tammy went to Disney World with Amy, as well as their brother, Chris Combs, and his wife, Brittany Combs. Chris is a 1000-lb Sisters fan favorite. Wanting to emulate his sisters' weight-loss successes for the sake of a healthier and more fulfilling life, Chris recognized the need for medical intervention to address his deteriorating health. During 1000-lb Sisters season 3, a 450-pound Chris underwent weight-loss surgery and rapidly lost 150 pounds.

His progress continued, with Chris shedding an additional 100 pounds post-surgery, showcasing an impressive transformation.

In February 2024, Tammy posted a TikTok duet for a fan who said that her one wish for her birthday was to receive a birthday greeting from Tammy. The best thing about the duet is that the fan only has 1500 followers, so there was nothing in it for Tammy. She was simply just trying to make a fan's day. The post got 2354 likes.

Tammy, Amy, and Chris aren't the only Slatons who have lost weight.

Their other sisters, Amanda Halterman and Misty Slaton, have also gotten in on the weight-loss action. In March 2023, Amanda and Misty went in to have bariatric surgery on the same exact day.
