So after watching it in its entirety, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Thank You, Next about?

Thank You, Next is an intriguing romantic drama that follows the life of Leyla, a successful, fashion-orientated woman who’s living the high life working at her uncle’s law firm. Around the inconvenience of having to actually work law cases, she finds herself entangled with several men that change her life forever.

There’s her ex, Omer, who’s the typical tag-along that hangs around like a bad smell. He sabotages her romances and there’s unresolved tension between him and Leyla. Next, we have successful chef Seyyaz. A suave, good looking guy, he has a way with women… and works his way into Leyla’s heart.

Finally, there’s Cem. Part of the “divorce case of the year”, Leyla finds herself taken aback by this enigmatic guy and he too becomes entangled in her messy love life.

Has Thank You, Next been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Thank You, Next has not been renewed for season 2. Generally Netflix would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.

With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made.

So far, Thank You, Next has had a pretty mixed reaction from critics and audiences alike, with some commenting on the romance but largely lamenting the writing, which is pretty stale, all things considered.

Given the way this show is set up, we’re predicting that this will not be renewed for a second season. The series does have plenty of potential but we also know that studios are tightening their purse-strings this year thanks to the strikes. The ending is also quite conclusive to be honest with the way it portrays Leyla making her final choice. However, we’ll be sure to update this section with accurate details over the coming weeks and months when we know more!

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point as Netflix haven’t officially renewed this one. Should it be renewed, we’d imagine that it’ll be commissioned with another 8 episodes and revolve around Leyla living it up on her own. She may even continue her mantra that “she don’t need no man” but all of this does seem rather farfetched given what we’ve mentioned above.
