Fargo Education Association endorses 4 candidates running for school board

(Fargo, ND) -- The Fargo Education Association has announced their endorsed candidates running for school board for Fargo Public Schools in the 2024 election.

The FEA recommends Paul Mohror, Jason Nelson, Kristin Nelson, and Allie Ollenburger.

According to a news release, the announcement comes after the FEA Governance Committee engaged in a thorough process, which included receiving written responses from all nine candidates, as well as providing the opportunity for a 40-minute wide-ranging interview with educators.

“This recommendation is just the start of the process,” said Michelle Strand, a science teacher at Fargo South High School. “We look forward to building relationships with whomever is elected for the betterment of our schools.”

Grant Kraft, president of Fargo Education Association said, “These candidates are pro-educator, pro-student, and overall strong supporters of public education. This committee spent many hours learning about all the candidates and after careful consideration, these four candidates rose to the top.”

WDAY Radio News will hold a Fargo School Board Debate with School Board candidates on Tuesday, May 21 beginning at 6 p.m. on 970 WDAY Radio & AM 1100 The FLAG.
